But if our stars have ongoing injury niggles I would err on the side of caution and rest and/or reduce their roles at that time.
Some of our players were unfit during the PF last time I checked.

They need to play Garthwaite, he needs to get up to speed with senior footy and this weekend is perfect for him to get another game under his belt.

If he doesnt get to play I seriously doubt we believe he can take the next step.

I agree but he’s had no preseason. I’m not sure he’s really there fitness wise TBH. Either way he’s really all we’ve got at the moment to play that position. Although we’re not coming up against a potent forward line his form/fitness might not be as much of an issue. Doesn’t matter anyway he’s not playing.

Menadue is an interesting in, we are going in with a very short backline. Personally I would have preferred Garthwaite to sure up the defence, but I understand the Dogs aren't flooded with quality tall forwards.

Only concern for me would be when both Bont and Naughton are both playing forward could leave us exposed but in saying that we still have Balta in the team who can be swung back if it becomes an issue

Really happy hardwick has gone straight back to menadue. Looked good vs port in his only game and has been exceptional in the vfl.
Bulldogs have very a short forward line, hence menadue over Garth...

Expecting a super fast game! Hopefully menadue uses his speed and breaks some lines.
Bolton to slip straight back in nicely!

Don’t wanna pump him up too much but I really think this is the game that BALTA can go to the next level! I’m praying he does!
