I sm.also going Fri night. Saints on TV gives me more anxiety then at the game
I think it does me too because I tend to lose my shit watching on TV - I just assume I'll act the same if I'm there in person and so avoid it but enough is enough. I'm going to try and go to more games this year.

I was getting so worked up at the umpiring on Sunday that I went and meditated for 20 mins at half time.

Although I was watching on TV so that’s prob not a viable solution for actually attending games.

BURTON | On the Saints: We went through our oppo this morning. How they get back really hard (was mentioned). We saw one passage where they had 16 players behind the ball. We’re going to have to be really smart in how we enter inside 50.

I think that's what Carlton tried.

maybe try the other end of the spectrum next time to cope with cocked up umpiring...rub one out with sandpaper, 60 grit. no pain no gain

Are you a track watcher? Can you (or anyone else) tell us how Moose is progressing? From what I've seen at Sandy I think he's still a good year off.
Haven't been since pre season. Moose was not one of the group you would call an endurance runner, was a long way off the others. Was constantly beaten in the ruck, saw Owens beat him on numerous occasions.
Having said that, in match sim he looks like a natural footballer, to me still very raw, but can read the drop of the ball, can get to the right spots, can clunk a mark and I feel there is really something to work with. He is very young and rucks usually don't really hit their straps until 24 or 25

Players like Crouch has to lose weight and become better runners for that recipe.
Steele on the radio with Kane and Gerard H about 15 minutes ago.

Q: How did Ross challenge you?
A: Seb and I had to drop a few kilos from our playing weight of last year so that we could become better runners.

Challenges the team all the time on the game plan. They never know what questions he’s going to throw at them. Nobody wants to let him down.

As good as Riewoldt, Milne and Kozi were back when Ross was first coaching us I think we were too reliant on them and struggled if opposition teams could shut them down or at least curb their influence and we obviously struggled when Riewoldt was out injured for an extended period back in 2010.

We are now developing a better spread of goalkicking options with Owens, Higgins, Butler, Phillipou, Gresham, Wood, Caminiti and Cordy along with Membrey, King and Billings all returning as well. That should make us a more unpredictable and potent scoring team and much harder to shut down.
Bottom 6 now also better than what we had then.
We are much more of an even team.

Heath is a goer & is combative by nature..he’ll need more time, particularly building his endurance!

Mitch Owen performing at 127% above expectation this year according to some data/ stats expert on SEN right now.

In the stratosphere according to other players in the past ( but below Daicos) . Had some unbelievable stat about his contested possessions or something - top in the league. Buddy was 87% over as a young player As a comparison.

If anyone can find it to post it, it is great listening. Also the stats about the whole team

RTB is a genius , at the start of the season did anyone pick Owens to go into the ruck at times or for him to do rucking in the forward line sometimes too ? And he does a good job when he does it . Never saw that coming . Plus Stocker and Byrnes both holding their positions in the side , i know its only been 6 weeks but they werent even listed as emergencies in my side at the start of the season . Shows you what i know. lol
BT, Chito can bend steel bars with just his mind. That’s been clear since birth.

We have 4 memberships in our house but 2 young kids and a lack of babysitter options means we can’t make every game.

Got a babysitter this week though and if it’s an early/afternoon game we take the kids (and iPads).
Yep same, country with the little kids. Will be heading to the hawks game though as it's 1:40 so vline in and vline out

My first game at home on the weekend as my back was a goner. I was way more stressed and grumpy at home!

In Supercoach Owens has risen from 249k at the start of the season to 454k after the last round, only Sheezel from North Melbourne has had a bigger price rise this year and Sheezel has been playing an easier role as the loose man in defence rather than as a key forward like Owens has been doing.

Owens is legit a massive chance for rising star. If hogan can win it surely he could too!

He is currently the 3rd favourite with the betting agencies behind Sheezel and Ashcroft but from what I've seen I would have him ahead of Ashcroft.
