Aren't you worried by Bartel's role Flowers?
Oh i am, he's a massive roller coaster ride. Some quarters he scores nothign then the next he scores 60

But i think he's still a keeper and is only 450k with a BE of 68 this week, now is the time to get on.

A quick guess for this seasons final averages would be

Stevie J 110+??
....
....
Daylight
....
....
Rockliff, Franklin, Cox ~100
Martin, Bartel, Chapman, Daisy ~90-99
....
Riewoldt, Wellingham, Stokes, Lewis, Zorko ~85-90

Cox is obviously better spent in the rucks

So I want

Stevie J, Rocky, Franklin and three of Martin, Bartel, Chappy, Daisy

At the moment I have Rock, Bartel and Daisy crossed off the checklist,

I can't afford Stevie J and I don't want to get Martin, I've confirmed Daisy already so for me it's between Chappy and Bartel and Bartel is cheaper with a lower B/E

Again I'll say BE means nothing to me, I'm chasing the points. Good chance Hoff will score high like he had been earlier in the season.
What? Westhoff won't be getting 140s, 150s every few weeks. He'll probably never score like that again. The best way to get points is by having the most money, so you can spend extra money on getting the most points, basically more money = more points. He might average 80 for the rest of the year (at best)...but under the new trading system you are better off getting rid of him now as he is not a keeper and will not score like one. An 80 average scoring player will not be start-able post byes. If you get rid of him now you A) Gain money, B) Gain a premium scoring forward like Franklin, Thomas, etc. You will see an immediate gain and a long term gain. If you plan to keep him one more week it defeats the whole purpose of bringing him in the first place (which was to gain money), christ he might even drop below his starting price lol after his next game! If you thought he was a keeper...well then you are probably not ranked very well.

Stevenson > B. Ellis (this might change to Stevenson > Laird should he play. I should have done this last week, but went Pittard > Stevenson) sigh
Westhoff > Stevie J (not sure why people think D. Thomas is going to score well off the back of 1 game?).

Will be looking to bring in Watson and Priddis (and possibly Swan) in a few weeks time when their BE's bottom out.

It was more his role that people are very interested in. He played loose off half back and racked up a heap of cheap ball. He is also very cheap for what he could potentially score.

I'm not bringing him in this week but I can see why he is attracting so much attention.

You think he'll be allowed to run free again?

Freo / Cats / Swans hardly an ideal draw either

He has another partner in crime coming out of the back half in Shaw.

He'll also soon have Beams joining O'Brien running up and down the wings. One will get off the chain each week.

Doesn't mean I'm getting him but.

If you're planning on bringing in both Daisy and Gray then I don't think it matters much which order. Gray does have a lower break even though, so will possible cost significantly more next round. But... Daisy is the safer pick so prob best to get him in sooner. So the former (Daisy/Crouch) for me as well.

Yeah cheers i think im settled on that hopefully crouch is back thou otherwise not aure who to pick..

Provided I can get Daisy in this week for Dwyer, I can turn my attention to my defence next week and maybe then pick up one/both of Watson and Cotchin over the next couple.

As cheap as Watson and Cotchin are going to be over the next two weeks, I want to keep the points flowing and figure I will get more by upgrading a starting def rook (~60-65pts) to a def premo (~95pts) rather than a starting mid rook (~85-90pts - Jag/Wines the only rooks I have) to a mid premo (~110).

But I admit having a stacked midfield does give me a warm and tingly feeling inside (aiming for Swan/Ablett/Pendles/Jelwood/Murphy/Watson/Cotchin/? I have a feeling the ? will end up being Beamsy).

I'll also be interested to see how long Kennedy and Lecras can keep up the good scores for.

I don't believe he will, it's why I'm not bringing him in. I checked his draw last night and ruled him out.

Positives are that he is versatile, so if he is getting a defensive tag then he can move into the middle or even forward. It's also possible that he won't get the tag. I mean look how long it took for Birchall to get a defensive tag and I thought he was a given to get tagged with Suckling out.

He is cheap but not for me.

I will be upgrading around them until after the bye rounds. Lecras is spending more time up on the wing and should score well with the friendly draw coming up. With the role he is playing, it's not out of the question that he could become a keeper. If he was kicking straight his score against Port would have been a lot better and he would have had a massive score against WB on the weekend (my theory is that arm guard is affecting his ball drop). I'm not banking on it, but it's a possibility.

Kennedy has been consistent so no rush to get rid of him either.

this week hoff -> SJ
stevenson -> laird (if laird isn't named, then dwyer -> kennedy)

next week

Wines/Wingard -> Priddis
Neade/Dwyer -> Daisy

edit: uhh I might need lonergan next week too. Maybe leave daisy for the week after!

What to do with Beau Waters this week? I know he is out, but do I put him on the bench and just have him down as a keeper like I did with Heppell last week or do I look at trading him to Birchall who has a golden run coming up but does have a breakeven of 183.

People's thoughts on Pearce Hanley? Can he be consistent this year?

Absolutely set on Westhoff to Daisy, as most people are. Leaves me 212k to upgrade. I'm tossing up between Mundy to anyone (already have Swan and Ablett) or Stevenson/Terlich up to a defence premium which would pretty much solve my defence worries. Was considering Hibberd, Shaw, Hartlett (it pains me to say that, I'll be haunted by his 32), Hanley, Duffield and even Ibbotson as a bit of a money making smoky. What are peoples thoughts?
My other option is going the mid upgrade and hopefully getting Scotland next week if his price falls a bit more.
Or I could upgrade someone like Whitfield, which is very tempting.

Liking the look of Hanley, classy - which you can't say for many in the Brisbane team (or many Irish players either) and knows how to find it. Has been known to attract the forward tag though.

I would throw Kennedy into that list. Had him from the start as a mid pricer but think he may have what it takes to be a top 10 forward

That is the thing that scares me, however I think he was tagged by Sydney on the weekend and still managed to pump out a decent score, has a good bye so might be worth riding the rollercoaster with him for the season perhaps

difficult decision to make this week trade wise

i can either go heath >vlaustin and dwyer>thomas which would leave me with a $145k in the bank and would mean i could probably go close to doing a straight swap next week of wright>buddy

my other option is to go heath>vlaustin and dwyer>sj which would leave me with no $ in the bank.

people's thought on which option is better?

Had a big first half then got the tag and his scoring slowed down. I traded him in last week and was happy I did but he will have some poor scores with the tag. I'm just hoping he avoids the tag enough to put up the big scores he is capable of.
