I had all intentions of bringing in Mills or Short to get rid of back line rookies, but Starcevich named, and a $170k rookie also named means that with Pittonet, banked $ = exactly $897.
Grundy & $0 remaining it is.
Hate that break even but the VC opportunity cancels that out for me.
Just means I miss Simpson.
Yeah I can’t bring myself to miss out on Simpon with that -BE. So also trading in Grundy would mean i have used both trades before full lockout which i hate doing.

Just looking around in Perth right now the rain has cleared up a bit.

Anybody see Day’s game last week for the Hawks? Was hoping a cheaper defender would present themselves , but he’s about the only one.

Throughout my entire bench, I have one person playing. After trades. Th.. that's okay.. I'm okay with that.. It's plenty of cover

🤥

That's what I'm weighing up now.

Do I go McInerney to Simpson.
Or Budarick to Simpson.

First gives me a bench option.

Second frees up cash i need to upgrade Brander/Mcasey to an actual defender...

Day played really well, I'd like to think his JS is pretty good if he keeps playing like that.

have just done Ward to Simpson...
tomorrow I'll do Young to Whit because I fall just short of Gawn. Whit will return to being a spud like when I had him earlier.

Who do I drop out of Taylor, Mcinerney, H.Jones or Budarick

Thinking Budarick may start to lose cash with the scores he is putting out?

Taylor should still hit 40, Mcinerneys BE seems too low to cut yet but might not get back in, Jones was a mistake and not sure if he will return to the side.

Budarick to Whitfield

Rivers to Day/McPherson

I like day alot as a player but worried with scrimmy potentially back in and Impey on the horizon. Also named at HFF. But he just looked so good last week!

Conversely McPherson has very very good JS as he's been touted highly at the club for years. Scoring not as high as day.

Which two would you field out of Williamson, Hamill, McPherson/Day and Starcevich?

Williamson and Starcevich. Runs on the board.

Should i upgrade Pitt first or 1 of my 2 backline rookies? I can get Gawn so i worry that this might be the last chance to get him with the cash but I dont want Starc or Hammil in the backline too.

Whats more of a priority?
Defenders are a crap shoot this year for the most part so I would think Gawn, who would you be getting in down back?

Had this same dilemma last night.
I considered Mills/Short upgrade of D5/6,
F6 upgrade of Ainsworth (to Walters)
Or Pittonet to Grundy.

Went with the ruck upgrade and with the late +3 added to Grundy, he beat his break even.

Now upgrading D5/6, F5/6 should be doable with basic 1up, 1 downs.
Original plan of Gibbons to Sidebottom is so far going ok. Gibbo has so far risen $69k in the 2 weeks I've had him and was chosen at the time for his low break even, best 22 & half decent scores. Do not want to keep him for long though but hopefully only a $200k upgrade.

Thats my thinking that the backline should be easy to upgrade, but I have a feeling Gawn might be down this week, and shouldnt rise too much in price where Mills/Brodie Smith should have quite a big jump.
