That's what I'm weighing up now.

Do I go McInerney to Simpson.
Or Budarick to Simpson.

First gives me a bench option.

Second frees up cash i need to upgrade Brander/Mcasey to an actual defender...

Ditto...

It feels wrong but I'm trading a guy who's playing (Taylor) over one that's not (McInerney). I think trading guys sub $300k too often can be a bit of a waste Especially if the guy your trading too is $200-$250k themselves.

I'd be relatively confident McInerney will squeeze back in soon. Swans surely wont have a win, and there will be guys who struggle no doubt.

Thats my thinking that the backline should be easy to upgrade, but I have a feeling Gawn might be down this week, and shouldnt rise too much in price where Mills/Brodie Smith should have quite a big jump.
From Calvin's captain's, Gawn is #1.
No. 1 – Max Gawn v Hawthorn @ Giants Stadium
Gawn is on fire and ranks as the No.1 man in the game on form averaging 112 in his last three games. In his last three games against the Hawks, Gawn has scored 121, 104 and 127. The Ceglar/McEvoy combo have been tough to score against this year, but Gawn should now have it all his own way.

It's impossible to get everyone at rock bottom prices. Mills was $560k a few weeks ago.
Win one, you'll lose another.

Surely Cegs is a late out. How can a bloke that's 200cm play a game of footy with a broken big toe? I've never broke my toe before but google says it's about a 4+ week recovery. I'm actually staggered that he's named
Yeh, I'm surprised at that too. Last thing we need is a ruckman who can't cover the ground.

Yeah seems like a bit of a joke really.

Anything toe related for a ruckman normally spells the end of them for a month like you say.

Clarko just playing shadow games with the fantasy coaches that were considering getting McEvoy this week.

Or perhaps hoping Dees will play Luke Jackson to help Gawn, only for them to pull Cegs? Who knows.

Budarick to Whitfield

Rivers to Day/McPherson

I like day alot as a player but worried with scrimmy potentially back in and Impey on the horizon. Also named at HFF. But he just looked so good last week!

Conversely McPherson has very very good JS as he's been touted highly at the club for years. Scoring not as high as day.

Which two would you field out of Williamson, Hamill, McPherson/Day and Starcevich?
I would field Williamson and McPherson.
So you should field Hamill and Starce

Haynes or Lloyd in the following context

Getting Lloyd means going Taylor to Whitfield next week, keeping Aarts/Budarick on field.
Getting Haynes means going Budarick to Whitfield next week, keeping Taylor on field.
Haynes this week imo. Lloyd sucks against GC and has been tagged in the past. Think Haynes has shown enough so far to suggest he can match it with Lloyd for the rest of the year.

Mills and Short the PODs who seem to have good roles
Ridley the consistent 70-80
Haynes consistent but with a higher ceiling.
I’d go Haynes if you can afford it
I think I've settled on Mills

$70-$80k cheaper and with added responsibility with the JK and Heeney injuries means he has the higher ceiling, as shown by his score last week I think

so many people asking for everyone's advice. geez, just back yourself and pick someone. everyone is just guessing, every players averages are there. no wonder half the teams are the same.
More opinions the better, essentially the choice is ours but it never hurts to get other peoples perspective.

This would be a rather empty forum if we didn't discuss trades.

I enjoy the banter and other people's opinions. Even if you don't agree it can still help you make your own decision?

Decided to bring in Brayshaw given Fyfe is out. He’s now playing 85-90 TOG , has a good run at home and will and Play more in the guts. also he’s scored well the last few weeks and he’s in good form

I'll probably stick with the safer bet in Rankine (for Green), but not seeing a lot of love for Essendon Hibberd. Should have a good role with Shiel out, had 5 tackles and 19 possies last week. Be -7, $237k. Could get a few more tackles if it's dewy again at Metricon tonight

Any other dead weight you can chop instead of Green.
He's now an emergency again so perhaps even an outside chance to be a late in?

I reckon they may just be giving him a rest and could be straight back in next week?

I like the look of Hibberd. Could be a great replacement for Anderson next week if Anderson dishes up a bad score.

Oh, I have plenty of dead weight, believe me! Brander, Rivers, Taylor, Budarick, King, Brown...

I'm holding Brander and Rivers this week just as hail Mary bench cover on the slight chance they get a recall soon. My D4-D6 (Starc, Mcasey, McPherson) is hanging by a thread.

Green only made the emergencies when Greene was a late scratch. So I'm thinking with Toby back next week, along with Taranto in and Williams soon, it's doubtful that Tom will get his spot back.

Since the rest of my dead weight at least have green dots (except Brown who doesn't make me much coin), I thought I'd keep them this week just for the minimal price rises and Taylor's points on field.

But any other thoughts are most welcome!
