Shiel to Horsley (Magner kept for the bye)
Morris to Heppell (keeping Ellis)....

I did panic when I saw Selwood out and Clay Smith on the extended bench... Left me no cover in the event of Ablett being a late withdrawl... But it was the Adam variety, not Scott that was out.... Phew....

Having 4 Collingwood players too excessive? Currently have Swan, Pendlebury [MID] and Sidebottom[FWD] and thinking of bringing in Beams as well. Thoughts? Just worried about the Round 12 bye

DT Dilemma

So will go Magner for Horsley as my main trade

but

i have Goodes. Is it worth trading Goodes for Adams and then upgrading Kennedy next week or should i just do the Goodes for Beams this week?

McEvoy -----> Cox or H-Mac haven't decided which one
Magner -----> Jordan Lewis - Kennedy switched to mid during trading and Lewis now a forward.

Almost went chappy over Lewis but went with gut.

Depends on what Ess/Gee/Syd/Freo players on top of that for bye coverage. I have Cloke and Pendles and I'm bringing in Beams this week. With the role he's playing now (effectively full time mid with Ball's injury) I can see him in the top 5 forwards come year end.

My trades for this week:

Goodes >>> Horsely
Milera >>> Beams

With nearly $200K in the bank for another upgrade next week. Will need to get Zorko in as well to restore my mid-fwd DPP link.

Think i am going to wait to trade in beams after the collingwood bye round
i have got pendles, swan, sidebottom chapman and stevie j all in the respective dps that beams holds. Trading him in now would make my bye round rather difficult. i will instead look at upgrade other areas first

Magner > Horsley
Swap Hampton into FWD Goodes back to midfield > Ablett
$260k in the bank
Midfield now looks like this: J Selwood, Bartel, Ablett, Coniglio, Horsley, Swan Int: Neale, J Mac (hung onto).

You may be in a bit of trouble if...

A) Ablett is a late out
B) Rumours that Bartel will be a late out.
C) Neale named on extended bench - could be sub if he does play
D) J Mac "rested"

Undecided on whether to bring in Adams now or wait for the mature aged Zorko. With my current structure and trade plan cannot afford the extra donut in round 11, currently looking at 2 plus Redden probable. The other bye rounds are looking OK at the moment.

Considering I have Horsley already I will be one of the few not trading this week.

I have downgraded Magner to Horsely... Now what to do with the cash?

I can do Gibbs/shuey to Ablett or Golby to Scotland or Porplyzia/kenedy to S Johnson or chapman

Undecided at the moment, thought I had locked myself into trades but having second thoughts. Have a few $$ tucked away at the moment.

Trade 1
I have McEvoy in the rucks, he needs to go. I'm between 3 guys at the moment in H-Mac, Cox and the Mullett.

Trade 2
1. I can either go Magner/Kennedy down to Adams which would give me a nice cash injection for upgrading next week.
2. In trade 1, I go to Maric which gives me enough to put Beams in for Magner
3. In trade 1, I go to H-Mac or Cox, trade Magner/Kennedy to Jordan Lewsi/Zaharakis/Chapman

I'm with Mullett and Beams for Mcevoy and Magner at the moment

I'd be doing Golby myself. High B/E compared to Porps/Kennedy. Not sure why you would trade Gibbs (avg 91) or Shuey (avg 94.8), they are guns you picked them for a reason for round 1 no point wasting a trade to go to another premium who could be under done anyway.

Was probably leaning towards the Scotland trade, the shuey/ Gibbs thing, is that Gibbs has been disappointing he is not playing the role I expected him when he was basically the first player I put in my team, Shuey has been good but will average 90 and Ablett will avg 120 so is still a 30 point gain, similar to Golby avg 65 to Scotland avg 95. My midfield is swan, Murphy, Boyd, shuey,Gibbs,McDonald,Horsely & miles so shuey or Gibbs are the only options if I am to get Ablett involved.

Alright, here's my possibilities for the week. My current side is as follows -

Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Enright, Clarke, Bugg, Ellis (Morris, Tomlinson)
Swan, Pendlebury, Boyd, Magner, Greene, Shiel (Treloar, Clay Smith)
Cox, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)
Franklin, Goodes, Sidebottom, Zaharakis, Martin, Porplyzia, Devon Smith (Cameron, Hall)

19 trades remaining, 372k spare.

All week, and even prior to last round, I've been set on getting Horsley and Adams into my lineup. Unfortunately, the Goodes injury has thrown a spanner into the works a little.

At this stage I'm thinking of benching Goodes for 1 week because I don't want to miss out on Horsley or Adams. My current thoughts regarding trades are:

1) Shiel/Magner - Horsley

Shiel and Magner both have cash to make yet but they have both done a great job and I think I need to sacrifice one. Shiel probably has more to make than Magner but with the bye structure I'm thinking Shiel is the one that needs to be sacrificed.

2) Hall - Adams

Hall is probably the standout option to be traded from my forward line rookies, with Smith performing well & Cameron returning to the side this week. Porplyzia is an option but he scored last week and seems to have a little more to make. Hall has more cash to make but that obviously won't happen unless he plays, which he isn't.

The above trades would obviously mean benching Goodes for one week until I'm comfortable I've found someone to upgrade him to - probably Robinson. Alternatively, I could go for a massive cash grab and downgrade Goodes to Adams, but with the above trades leaving me with 550k spare, cash is hardly an issue.

I also have to be very careful with the byes. All my coming upgrades will be done to ensure that I have sufficient cover each week in every position. That's what makes me think it's worth trading Shiel to Horsley rather than Magner. But if I do Hall to Adams it will mean I have all my cheaper players missing in round 11, which is a worry. Obviously I can trade around that and plan to do so, but seeing as though Porplyzia is also missing in round 11, is it worth perhaps trading him to Adams instead, and getting a little more cash in the process?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Fairly generic for me:

Magner -> Horsley
Goodes -> Beams

The Goodes LTI means Adam Kennedy will live to see another day (as forward emergency).

If it were me..

Hall>Horsely (use the Treloar DP) and save Shiel & Magner for another week or 2. You can get your mids DP link back in 2 weeks with Zorko AND make another 200k+ profit

&

Goodes> Adams (go for the cash grab!) Porps has a B/E of only 18 can make another 20-25k this week.

Next week you have 500k+ to upgrade 2 of Shiel, Magner, Porps & Devon to just about any 2 GUNS of your choice!
