Trades Round 8 Trades - Get rookies on the bubble n00bs

Teams have really screwed with my plans.

Original plans were

Rachele > Cripps
Ward > Clark
Dixon > Stewart

With Hewett, Witherden out, Daicos ??? and Clark out it has thrown things up in the air.

Option 1: pick another rookie.
Not sold on either McComb or Curtis. Carroll looks the best of the 3 next week (Think he should stay in but Hewett to fit back in...), Hamilton appeals but Leon, Rioli is one bad one away from being dropped. The issue is the only one you could 100% bank on is out this week. Is gambling on one of these worth it to get Stewart in?

Option 2: Trade a different cow.
I can't make my ideal trades off Rachele & Dixon. Rachele is first to go (should of done it last week) but I could offload one of Daicos, Berry or Horne-Francis to get it done. The only worry is I may be in trouble if more carnage comes going forward...

Option 3: Pick another target.
After trading Rachele for Cripps I would have $301,900 to play with... Dixon out would get me to $547,900. I could go after Parker instead who appears a real nice option and further strengthens my Forward line... through subtle trade magic I can move Martin back to the Mids as well.

What to do, this has quickly turned from a simple week to a pain... where's my scotch...

Rachele and Dixon to Cripps and Parker is a no brainer imo. Gives you another week to assess rookies and then begin the cull.

Yeah the more I look at it, the more it seems the logical play now.

Means waiting on Stewart for a bit... shame as he would of pretty much finished my Defence (Hewett to go back when Bowey is ready)... but Parker is about the best backup plan without risking something I am not as confident in

I wouldnt go early on Carroll. If he plays like last week again he will be tough to drop but he is playing a position with lots of competition.

I flirted with this idea but if Clark sits out next week too then you are really hindering yourself... McComb for example could have two to three price rises before Clark is on the bubble and potentially cullable pending how he goes (made most of his cash by that point).

Been soild without beening a standout knocking the door of he's hinges player.
He's soild around the ball , not quick .

Totally unsure on he's scoring at AFL Level.
I just hope he's not another Darcy Lang ...

The chat about McComb's lack of JS is making me lean towards Carroll for a downgrade this week. First score of 95 and named on the centre line for the Blues, should hang around for a bit?

Think the JS is simply supporter chat .....same was said about Adam Scott, last year .....he ended up playing a number of games

McComb has the same JS as any other Rookie, including Carroll & Clark

Thought about holding Berry for 1 week over JHF? Would back him in to score more given they're playing WCE, and both will barely change in price so which order you punt them in doesn't make much difference over points scored.

The rest of the trades look perfect.

Yeah I have considered it. My rationale was Berry had the higher BE and he is stuck out on a wing now (lost all his inside time partly due to his shoulder issue he is carrying).
