Interested in how many rookies people will still have after this weeks trades.

I will have the same amount as you but a different setup.

DEF - Hore, Rozee, Scrimshaw/Duursma
MID - Walsh
FWD - Miers

Currently got
Def - Hore (Scrim/Answerth on bench)
Mid - Walsh, Stack, Ross (Constable/Duursma on bench)
Fwd - Miers, Petru, Drew (Blakey/Setterfield on bench)

This is pending teams on Thurs as that could force me to change my proposed trades...

After trades.

Def - 3
Mid - 3
Fwd - 0

Using DPP

Def - 3
Mid - 2
Fwd - 1

Aiming for a little bit more flexibility with DPP coming into the byes,

I have 6 rookies on field after trades

1 DEF - Hore
3 MID - Walsh, Ross, Gibbons/Stack
2 FWD - Miers, Baker

Not fussed with that though. The only rooks I have under 300k are Answerth and Lockhart, both of which will probably go over after this match. My other rooks are plump for trading and going one down, one up over the next couple of weeks should land me some decent premos. Scrim, Hore, Miers, Drew, Walsh are all ready now (though would look at Scrim and Drew first). Baker, Petru, Gibbons, Stack, Ross not too far off.

The time for Hind & Bewley is nearing but checking both their JLT efforts doesn't make for attractive scoring. Gotta roll some of the maxed rookies in to some $170k 'ers though.
I think before last weekend Hind was actually in some hot form and racked up 30+ and 40+ in a fortnight period. Fingers crossed

How do you rank the priority of trading out the following:
Libba, Wilkie, Burgess

I currently have it as listed above due to Wilkie’s breakeven meaning he may actually lose money this week and I can get to someone better removing him as opposed to Burgess, but would love to hear some thoughts.

As it stands I am thinking Libba & Wilkie to Corbett & C.Daniel

Just had a look at a few top 10 teams, average of 4 rooks on field.....interestingly the guy in 7th has 8 rooks on field but running a very strong midfield with Walsh at M8. 4 rooks in Def and 3 Fwd but with all the big dogs as premos

Anybody care to rank the rookies in terms of 'most fieldable'?

For me I think it's Walsh, Hore, Miers, Ross, Stack, Hately, Duursma, Drew, Hayes, Lockhart, Answerth.

Who am I missing?

Rozee has been handy for me, especially flipping between defence and forward with Burgess. Average of 77 is more than handy.

One thing to keep in mind, fewer rooks means less cash generation. Those with only 2-3 rooks on field now might be going well, but they'll find it harder to upgrade later. Especially if they have any injuries or out of form premos. It's a fine balance.

Been hoping that Dev Smith and Gus Brayshaw will turn a corner but not looking likely. Might have to sideways the both of them to say, Gaff and Telly.

I've held off moving premos all year apart from Mills and Lycett, but these blokes are bleeding points and cash......Thoughts?

I think the better question is how many premiums will everyone have.
I should have 13. Then there are guys like Williams, Newnes and Worpel who aren't premiums but could be keepers or luxury upgrades towards the backend.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned the bloke in 7th position, he's the best placed to make an impact from here on.

Eerie how similar Liberatores fantasy scores are this year so far to his 2017...

If he scores like that again for the rest of the year, then you definitely trade him. Put up some woeful scores after round 9, with a 31 being the worst, followed by a 38, three 50's, two 60's, three low 80's and a 109 (which was his only good score for half a year)

Definitely feeling good about my trade

Playing the BEs with my trades... originally had Burton out to allow me to bring Yeo in but after seeing Witherden's BE at 114, coupled with the fact their game is in Ballarat (high chance of subpar weather conditions) he's got the axe instead. Duursma making way for Lockhart and Stack swings onto the field in defense. That may change to a Constable for Lockhart trade if he's sitting out again but I'd rather be rewarded for keeping him from last week. Leaves me 177k to upgrade my defense next week.
