Round 9 Trades

I'm looking to bye rounds and think without too much fiddling I'll score acceptably.

Just need some downgrade targets to pop up just before and during the bye rounds.

Hartlett out, Staker in.
Neade out, Burgoyne in......
If I'm going to have someone inconsistent in the back line, I'd rather Burgoyne than Hartlett. ...

Thank goodness I got Vlastuin in and didn't do the Dywer to Kennedy "no brainer".

I'd go Jack, seems to be a bit more consistent. Maybe some of my West Coast bias creeping in, but Barlow's had a few 80's and Jack seems to alternate between 60 odd or 100+, and he's a genuine unique pick. For now:rolleyes:
Hasnt jack only scored under 100 once this year?? :confused: cant see how that rquates to fluctuating between 60 and 100

tough on this week - im torn:

Pittard -> Thurlow (a definate at this point)

Then:

Breust -> Watson (Martin moves to fowards)
or
Breust -> Nic Nat

Would make my side look like this:

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
  • TRADE 1 (LOCKED): Stevenson -> Thurlow

    ONE OF:
  • TRADE 2 (MAYES):
    -
    upgrade to LUKE PARKER/LUKE HODGE/KENNEDY(WC) (best i can afford)
    -downgrade to SPANGHER? (will have over 300k for next week)
  • TRADE 2 (KANE LUCAS):
    -
    upgrade to BARLOW/DELEDIO/KIEREN (will be left with barely any $$$)

I didn't know the exact stats, clearly that means he's a good pick if he's not fluctuating. But that's not something I was aware of, I just remember an opponent of mine had him when he scored his 60 and I haven't come across anyone with him since.

No one considering trading in JPK?

$486k with a B/E of 48 coming off two huge games. If you exclude his 59 performance he's averaging 103 over the season.

Yeah I bet its really working out not having the pkayer averageing fourth heighest in the competition

The thing is people paid for the reliability and Capt. option which is more than understandable, but to be fair, his starting price was 50k more than GAJ and 100k more than any other player. For that price I expect u want the absolute clear top scorer, not the fourth best. There's def a strong argument that starting without Swan was the correct decision this year, the key point would be nailing the other picks and using the extra cash wisely.

Itd be intersting to see if any of the top teams dont have him yet. Picking him up for under 550k next wk could be a big bonus as he is yet to really go huge and punish those without so far.

I like him. Last two games he is getting free as teams are tagging mcveigh and hannebery instead. He'll average well over a 100 this year and hardly misses a game. He has a rnd 12 bye and wins his own ball which means he still scores well even when the swans lose.

Just read on the Dreamteam site under the FAQs that during the three bye weeks that it will be your top 18 scoring players who will count towards your score only. Means you could have at least 12 out during any of the bye weeks (including bench players) and still have a full scoring team. Has anyone else read that? Really helps during those bye weeks!
It's brilliant even better I haven't really bye planned and using the bye planner off DTtalk. I have 17, 20 and 18 for each round with only issue 4 defenders for 11 and 3 mids for 13 rest i have the right numbers as it stands for each position so I can hopefully fix that in the coming weeks.

Will never touch him in DT. He gets 80 DT points and ends up with 145 SC points.
Totally disagree, had a couple of slow games to start the year, but has been in amazing form again lately. Is a tackling machine (got 11 last week), kicks goals on a regular basis and always racks up the possies. As someone said previously, teams have started tagging Hannebery, Jack and McVeigh over him. I am bringing him in this week, always goes huge against the Pies.

I ended up goin... yes i changed my mind again and probably will when the teams are announced.

Wines to Jack! I chose him over Mitchell for the unique factor and his BE is low.
Mayes to Watson

Only $1000 in the bank

Thoughts????

Next week I have a a few cash cows getting pretty high. Dwyer, Macaffer, Goodes, Terlich, Kerridge

I dare say on of them will go for Staker

Mate if you feel like having a ping, then please learn to spell at a minimum of a 3rd grade level. It's quite embarrassing unfortunately for yourself.

On the point of Swan, he has dropped 117k and will most likely drop another 15-20k. This is 135k that I have over the majority of the competition to upgrade earlier to other players as well as having Swan at a cheaper price very soon. With 2 trades a week, DT has become more of a stock market where you always look for that extra cash boost as that's the only way to get an advantage on others. Sadly for yourself a 3rd grader can't see that.

I think that is a good trade. He looks like he is going to score well and is also a good POD

Stevenson --> Thurlow
Mayes --> Buddy
subject to teams obviously.
really hope it is time for buddy to go bang as I am sacrificing getting a hanley/watson/lids etc to get the big unit in

The reservation I have is with his consistency. I think Jack is safer but JPK's ceiling is higher. Had a look through JPK's scores last year and often was around the 80-90 mark then would explode with two 130 games. Where we have 8 midfielders this year, I think it's extremely important to get your midfield right and I wouldn't want that inconsistency in my midfield. Not doubting he's a top player, but think that you can get more consistently high scoring players.
