Round 9 Trades

Hey guys haven't been on much this week or had time to read through too many posts. Just a heads up for anybody that is looking at upgrading/downgrading midfield rookies...with Prestia going down at the Suns and with a total of 4 of their best midfielders on the sidelines I would expect Miller to become a staple at the center square stoppages.

Leading into the draft Touk had already drawn comparisons to Dion Prestia. He has a strong body and a knack for winning clearances, plus the kids LOVES to tackle.

I know Martin comes back in this week but I think he will continue to be used on the outside either on the wing or as a high half forward more often than not.

While there is no way to be sure of how Touk's midfield time will effect his SC scoring we can make predictions, and although I can't see him throwing up too many 100+ scores I think Touk should be able to maintain his current price and push towards the 400k mark. At a bare minimum Touk will provide us with some reliable coverage during the byes. He's definitely due for a rising star nomination which should come within the next few weeks!

I'll be holding Touk until after his bye because I don't think he will loose as much money (if any) as a few of the other rookies getting around...I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that this week will be the week that Josh Glenn finally bursts that bubble ;-)

All reports are saying he's still injured.

Thanks in advance for your help guys. Which is my best option here.... I haven't got Rocky yet and I know he is a must-add, but is Parker more of a must this week with his imminent price rise?

1. Cripps + Touk --> Rocky + MWallis
2. Cripps + Yeo --> Parker + MWallis (Rocky next week)
3. TBC + Touk --> Bubble rookie + Rocky

I like Touk Touk Miller as a keeper, thibking Cripps and CEY can go. My round 12 bye isn't too bad

There's no reason why Cripps can't do what Jackson McRae did last year in his 2nd season and end up with a 100+ average from 20 games.
I had McRae for most of the season and he ended outscoring 2 of my "premo" Mids.

I'm inclined to take it easy on Asho81, it's his first season of supercoach. I would like to see him progressively learn week by week though with regards to trading strategy and analysing his options himself. If he has real doubts after his analysis, then he can ask. People want to help but it's not easy to when the trade options put up are so open ended and without context and he re-asks the same stuff over and over.

If TBC is giving you the shits trade him out. But don't whinge when you're short ruck cover. If you want to keep ruck cover you have to keep him. Simple as that.

If you want to get Rocky in, you'll have to pull the trigger and cull a rookie (or two) depending on your $$$ reserves.

Look at your rookies BE's and if you think they can beat them, keep them. If you think they wont, cull them.

But most importantly, and let me be very specific about this:

We can't build your team for you. Why would we want to? Sometimes you just have to wait until Thursday night to see the teams announced as to who's playing before you can form your trades.

How about you just stay off the computer until about lunch time Friday? Then you can make the most educated decision possible. ESPECIALLY after reading all the posts in the relevant rounds trade thread, and the weeks posts from the specific positions threads. Educate yourself before asking us the same inane questions EVERY. ****ING. WEEK.

It's like he's always waiting for some magic player to appear out of thin air, that no-one has thought of until he asks. Next week I'll suggest Zac Dawson to trade in as he's very cheap and some big scores are just around the corner as he's nice and fresh having not played a game so far this year.

Awesome stuff Oz.... Im perhaps the most sarcastic person on here, and cannot detect whether you're being genuine or not. Either way, Ive played SC for about 10 years (awell as NRL, ESPN NBA, etc) and have always finished within the top 5000 in AFL..... Ive really just only found this helpful site this year and I figure with your expert advice and thoughts, I may be able to improve on a top 5000 rank. Sorry if some of my Q's are open-ended at times, but so are a lot of others
With your feedback, Ive climbed from 48,000 in round 2, to 8,000 ATM, so thanks anyways guys.
