I'm starting to feel a little less certain about the coaching crew of late. Why would Bianco be an emergency? After his terrible performance and clear lack of weapons you let him know he's still next in line and on the right path. If we are serious he never plays again.

How can we continue to name Begg as a ruck relief when he has been smashed two weeks in a row and will probably get smashed again despite the absence of English? If he is our ruck future I feel depressed about the years ahead. He is undersized and will never be big enough to play that role. He has the knack of winning possessions, has nice hands and is relatively clean at ground level. How about working on making him a forward or defender?

The forward line looks impotent. With Jack, Elliott and Krueger all out it's all on Mihocek and the opposition know it. Now we go into another game with no other marking option in the forward line. By that, I mean a target you can go long to and expect a contest. WHE might fluke a speccy in junk time and depending on how quickly we move the pill Henry might take a mark or two but I find the line up shows we have learned nothing from last week. The Dogs are undermanned height wise in defense so why not stretch them?

And Madge comes back in for a game where he has no real match up instead of playing last week when he did.

Disappointed to see Ginnivan out but better to have him fresh and firing.

Madgen back in makes some sense until there’s competition for his spot.

Really pleased to see Poulter back in. He’s been consistent at VFL level and deserves the opportunity to show what he can do. I don’t see him purely as a winger either. Think he could also play as a high half forward and he’s a good shot on goal.

Macrae next if Tyler can’t start to produce.

It was a mistake to drop Madge last week and quickly corrected.

Major bummer about Gin - we just can’t seem to every quite get our best line-up on the park together. Has averaged nearly four goals per game over past three weeks, so is a very big loss.

For mine, with Gin (and Elliott) out, it’s time to play Sidey as a full-time forward this week, especially with Poulter coming in as clearly the best wing replacement option. Sidney’s career as a mid is in sharp decline but a full-time move forward might just transform him.

He has certainly got the smarts, game-reading and clean skills on both sides of his body needed to be a potent small forward. Time to roll the dice and find out.

This will give Begg the opportunity to work on his ruck craft, as well as spending time forward.
But even if he manages to beat a first gamer he is never going to be able to beat any of the first and second ruck choices at most clubs. He should be molded into a forward or defender.

it says a lot about Ginnivan's progress that a young fella with a whole 12 games under his belt causes so much angst because he is too ill to play this week.
Get well and kick a bag next week, Jack!

Poulter deserves his chance. A few selections/non selections, totally uninspired
Nobody’s left to bring in. I’d prefer reef or macrae over t brown, won’t get less output. Other than that other new players on the list dean, kreuger and Johnson etc are all injured. Not much more we can add atm.

You just named 2 of them. Reef and Macrae ,add RUSCOE , Murley and Harrison. We know the tripe Brown and Madge bring to the table Our bottom 6 is nigh on Shizen

Collingwood premierships are built on players like The Madge.
He brings passion and pride in the jumper. That’s what wins games of footy!

Can you explain the Bianco
Can you explain the thinking behind the Bianco selection last week and explain how an old bloke sitting in his home in Mooroolbark can accurately forecast exactly what we would get (and not get) from Bianco as a small forward and be proven to be 100% accurate with his forecast when two former AFL coaches and one current one cannot see what I saw?

Darcy Moore must play forward tomorrow night , Checkers needs a hand , can’t always play the Lone Ranger down there , with Naughton the only tall to cover in their forward line , with the odd cameo from the Bont , it’s gotta be in Fly’s thinking

Good footballers win premierships and games of footy. Jason Wild and Luke Godden played with passion. Enough said.
Plenty of our flag sides have had blue collar players who play for the jumper.
It’s always been the Collingwood way.
Madge knows that and will continue to give his all.

The selection committee does not “like to do the unexpected to maintain an aura of mystery.”
Just self indulgent tripe.

It doesn’t have to be in his thinking just because it’s in yours.
