Not quite, and ignoring the troll (who has previously admitted that he had no info on the issue as he was unaffected) here's the general summary;Ok so the bumped your original seats down to level 1 monetised the original level 2 seats you paid for by opening them up to opposition supporters and getting a premium.
Is that right?
In late 2023, Premiership Club members with reserved seats in bays along the L2 wing/southern pocket received emails from the club indicating that these bays were no longer available "due to Marvel Stadium and the AFL reclassing those seats at the conclusion of the Marvel Stadium redevelopment at the beginning of 2024."
In subsequent contact with the club, these members were explicitly told that this was a Marvel Stadium decision, and that all Marvel Stadium home teams were being impacted.
(For what it's worth, this was the point in time where I forwarded that info to a footy journo because it seemed pretty interesting).
Turns out that this information was not truthful, and North Melb was the only club impacted. This was because the club was instead allocating these bays for corporate seating/events.
Did the North supporters get compensated?
lol no. Nor would we be entitled to compensation to be fair. The club made some efforts to assist impacted members choose new reserved seats of their choice from what was available, but those of us who had reserved seats on the L2 wing no longer had that as an option.
The issue was never about the loss of our reserved seats. The issue was the club lying to its members.
