Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

So you believe its his missus who has complete control over that team?

She most likely just found out about it on Saturday night...

Mate my wife is a fanatic, she has more knowledge on footy than half the people on here, actually I'd say most. If I had control over her team she would not have scored 3000+ I don't rate half the players in her side. If she did listen to me she would have been out right leader this week, told her to pick up Fyfe instead of boomer Harvey several weeks back. But she does her own thing & I am proud of her regardless.

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

I think the team name of the weekly winner from the first multi bye this year was "show me the money" and was the teams first week. Blatant cheating

Hey!! I take offence to this... "Show me the Money" is my team, and I can promise you it was completed before Round 1 lockout.. and I can assure you I certainly havent come close to picking up any cash. I fancied myself at the time, hence the name but certainly not now.

If that's the case, forgive me. However you can see why people would think differently.

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Even if people are making a team under their misses name, so what? good luck to them. Might do it next year if i can be bothered :D
Moved from 178 to 102 over all. Just a few points out of top 100 :thumbsu:

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Pez, may as well say that every team with a female name is a 2nd team controlled by a male? Happy to take WOTTAMACHINE's word for it, but you can't paint all female users on SC with the same brush so to speak.

If that's the case, forgive me. However you can see why people would think differently.

I know what you mean but yeah not the case here, she's actually cursing I mentioned her score on here, she'll get over it.

This makes me sick.

A wife with Footy smarts, a head for SC and who you love and are proud of. How am I supposed to live up to that sh1t? If my wife ever read this post it would be straight to the doghouse......again. :(

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Been out all day and I see so much action in the thread....

1 - I agreee Herald Sun will not stop people making accounts after 1 as it stops their advertisng
2 - I hope whoever wins any weekly prize or the car isn't someone with multiple accounts.
3- I'm undersiege in overall and maybe my 15 minutes of fame has nearly ended. BUT IT'S ALL GOOD, NEVER EXPECTED TO WIN IT... Of course I want to win it, but don't expect to.

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

BF posters are dominating in the overall...

Yeah they are! Must be 4 or 5 users sitting pretty in the top 20. Got a friend of a friend that's 17th i think (was 6th last week) as well that's in one of my leagues.

You've been saying your 15 minutes of fame has been up for 12 weeks!!

Well done on holding the yellow jersey!!

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

I'm generally more into DT but pretty stoked with my round score, 2972, ranked 13th for the week, can't see me ever topping this score, jumped over 10,000 spots overall to sit in the 14,000's, very happy with NDS as my captain, team name is Spanish Stallions!!!

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

LOL - gave me a laugh with your post.

I'm undersiege, and yes 15 minutes of fame are nearly up :p:p

Hi there, Thomas voeckler

That would be me who is now sitting 17th.. Question is who is the friend of the friend??

Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

WEEKLY WINNER

A massive 3046 points for ‘Duff’s’ this week. His team included the big three in Cox (213), Stevie J (199) and Dal Santo (189), along with Swan, Pendlebury, Ablett, Gibbs, Goddard, M.Murphy, R.Murphy and Fyfe. Overall, there were five players who broke the 3000-point barrier; something I thought we’d never see.

OVERALL LEADER

A solid 2,699 effort sees Impromptu SCE remain atop the overall leader board with 44,229 points. However, the challengers are coming. He maintains a mere twenty-three point lead over second place while just 259 points separate the top ten SuperCoaches.

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

This is also the Monday Wrap. The place to tell the world how you went in SC on the weekend.

Score: 2564

Weekly/Overall ranking: 24,150/4,658 (up 49 spots).

Heroes: Cox, Dal Santo, Swan, Pendles & Priddis.

Villains: Lower, Franklin, Sylvia & T.Lynch (GCS)

League Status: Sitting pretty in most, but in my old work league, it all comes down to this week. I'm currently 9th (inb4richmondjokes), four points out of the eight. Fortunately, the 7th and 8th placed teams are drawn to play off, and I play the 11th side, but I need Shane Crawford to not pump the 2nd last team by too much. Need a big week.

Injury concerns: Newman, Broughton & Lower.

Trades: Two remaining. Saved for Murphy & Gibbs in R23. Hoping I don't have to use one (or both) on Newman/Broughton. I.Smith or Mzungu to cover Cross this week.

Vent: Ben Jacobs as a late withdrawal, which gave me my first zero for the year. I wouldn't have burnt a trade, despite not having bench cover, but it would've been nice to know a bit sooner. Need JRoo to push through his niggles for the last few weeks.

Kudos: Nicky Dal keeps on keeping on, Swan looking like he's back at his SC peak, while I'm enjoying the form of Gibbs, Broughton, Pendles & Murphy.

Thoughts: Last round of league matches this week, before our top eights are finalised.

Hope your team won on the weekend! Be sure to look out for my Round 20 Preview later in the week!
