Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2709

Weekly/Overall ranking: 4,571/8 (up 1 spot).

Heroes: Cox, Pendles, Swan, Priddis

Villains: Talia, Martin, Cloke

League Status: Think i'm 1st in 4/5. Understandably I haven't been paying much attention to league games lately though. Would love to help get RePUBLICOfFFC into the top 20 though, currently sitting 21st.

Injury concerns: My head...

Trades: 1 less than last week.

Vent: Travis Cloke. Traded him in for NRoo in an attempt to make up some ground this week. I expected a big score from him this round as always against the Bombers. In the end he was outscored by Isaac Smith who most others had playing in the F7 position and who i'd benched for him.

Talia and his 48 points, when I had Puopolo's 111 sitting on the bench. Just the luck of the draw. In the future i'll just go with the crowd I think...

Kudos: Darren Jolly. Hasn't had the greatest few weeks since coming into my side but hopefully turned the corner on the weekend.

Thoughts: Would have liked to be 100 points ahead of where I am now, but i've obviously had more than my fair share of luck to get where I am so I shouldn't complain too much.

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2596

Weekly/Overall ranking: 18065 (+26802) and 5163 (+410)

Heroes: Cox, Stevie J, Pendlebury

Villains: Sylvia, Lower, Suckling, Franklin

League Status: Ranked first in three and second in the other two. Should be hosting all qualifying finals (if that really makes a difference in Supercoach)

Injury concerns: Newman

Trades: Three left. Lower, Smith and Heppell, in that order of most likely to trade.

Vent: Hodge. I don't care if he plays and gets 50. At least make him play, I don't like donuts in Supercoach terms.

Kudos: Ablett. Can never go wrong in making him captain.

Thoughts: Killing the leagues, yet only cracked the top 5000 once for a week in the overall. Getting good scores but I can't push past that number.

Stay positive Prompts. I don't know anything about TDF but you're like Cadel and the other 400k of us are the rest of your competition. That's the best i've got.

Lol.

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Exactly 100 points away from being in the top five now.

I've been hot lately.

You can say that again :thumbsu:

Good luck for the rest of the year. I guess it's fair to say you won't be revealing how many trades you've got left? :p

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2862

Weekly/Overall ranking: 248/11 (up 14 spots).

Heroes: Cox, Dal Santo, Swan, Pendles & Gibbs

Villains: Gilbert, Franklin, Z Smith, Cloke & Mzungu

League Status: 1st, 2nd and 3rd in my three leagues.

Injury concerns: Callinan, X Clarke

Trades: Running low

Vent: Heath Shaw. If you weren't such an Idiot, I wouldn't have had to put up with Gilbert's 102, 40 and 58 since trading him in.

Kudos: NDS, Swan, Broughton, Fyfe, Bartel.

Thoughts: Every day I'm shuffling.

Thanks, IDIG! What I will say is that I had eleven left six weeks ago. Then I decided to start trading and suddenly my team started to perform consistently well. If I didn't put the pedal to the metal, I wouldn't be doing nearly as well. Probably just had the one bad trade in getting in Gilbert, but that was more of a panic trade because some idiot getting an eight week suspension. I was in a rush, started work at 4pm so needed to do something quickly. Not sure what I would have done otherwise (who knows, maybe I would have traded in Duffield had I had more time to think, and would have been worse off). Pretty sure I could have got either Birchall or Martin too, but from memory they both had a bye to come.

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2696

Weekly/Overall ranking: About 5 000th and 2 000th. CBF checking.

Heroes: Cox, Swan, Pendlebury

Villains: Sylvia, Franklin, Nicholson, Gilbert

League Status: Smashing it. Undefeated in 1, on top still on the other. Clear in total points as well. (Not that they are great leagues, they are terrible in fact!!)

Injury concerns: none

Trades: 0...

Vent: Gilbert. All my other underperforming players have games in the bank, and I expected 55 from Nicholson in my predictions and that's what he got so can't vent at him!

Kudos: Cox, Swan, Pendlebury, Bartel, Gibbs, Broughton, Murphy, Yarran, Murphy, Goddard, Scotland...haha

Thoughts: Da da da da da da da da

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2717

Weekly/Overall ranking
: Top 5000/169 (up 20 spots)

Heroes: No use saying the obvious in Cox etc.. Johncock, Broughton, Priddis, Goldstein, M.Murphy, Puopolo, Krakour

Villains: Syliva, Cloke

League Status: Only fussed about two leagues, sitting pretty in both. In one of them is a bloke who's top 10 in DT. He's battling for a finals spot and if he scrapes in i'm very weary of what he brings.

Injury concerns: Broughton?

Trades: Only two left. Not this week.

Vent: Cloke captain didn't plan out how I thought it would be. I was hoping for something a little different to try and gain ground on the top 100 but it completely backfired. Sylvia you moron, bring you in to cover the byes. Cheers for the 45 buddy.

Kudos: Marc Murphy. What a player he has been. Self confessed man crush on the bloke, this is my second full season with him in my team, will be first picked next season. Love your work son!

Thoughts: Stoked to be in the top 200 but it doesn't quite feel enough.

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

I missed this, what happened to Broughton?

Injury concerns: Broughton?

I remember him copping a knock (ribs?) and being taken off just before the final siren.

Just precautionary from what I've heard. But will be keeping an eye on it nonetheless.

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2508

Weekly/Overall ranking: 37,045 of 398,635 / 82,505 of 398,635

Heroes: Cox , Stevie J , Swan

Villains: Harry T , S Martin , Sylvia

League Status: 7th and 10th

Injury concerns: Gorringe rd 24  , Matera rd 21

Trades: 1

Vent: Hard to be shirty after scoring 2500 - Nicoski's unused 103 to Taylors 33 stank

Kudos: Dean Cox....nuff said

Thoughts: Thinking my final trade will be for when NTH have the bye as have no ruck bench.....problem is need to win THIS week to make the 8 in both leagues...................

Re: Round 19 Review, Team of the Week (and Monday Wrap) thread

Score: 2678

Weekly/Overall ranking: 7233 / 1458

Heroes: Cox , Stevie J , Dal Santo, Swan, Pendlebury, and Krakouer for getting in the 90s...a huge feat for him!

Villains: Jacobs, Lobbe, Strauss, and Silvia

League Status: 7th, 6th, and 7th which given i'm 1400 odd overall in 1 weak and 2 average social leagues is VERY frustrating! Just how!

Injury concerns: To scared to name them!

Trades: 1

Vent: Jacobs, Lobbe, Silvia and Strauss all posting very low scores costing me a chance at 2850+...

Kudos: Hodge for missing! Long may it continue!

Thoughts: Very scared of Didak coming back in. Lots of teams have him. Could do anything in my league/cash matchups! Only lose R Murphy this week which is a relief. i'll also being saying a few prayers for Sylvia and J Roo who have turned into the bane of my psuedo premium life!

Wicked thoughts: Would also like to pray for injury carnage to PK Le Grand's side so i can win 'THE BET'! Being slightly picky, would like Chappy and Ablett to synchronize hammy injuries in the first 10 minutes of their match! One can only dream!

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Trying to work out what Don't Do Think will do next week. Has Goldstein as his second ruck with Petrie as his forward link. Is facing a donut, so will be forced to trade. Richardson or Mzungu to Lobbe might be an option, or simply trade Goldstein to a Sandi/Mumford/McEvoy. Still a trade that others around them won't have to make.

North's bye is Round 21.

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Impromptu I wouldn't be too concerned about other teams coming over the top if I were you.

P2 is a poisoned chalice - teams have generally dropped off pretty quickly once they've got there. I should know - P2 to P18 in one week - WHACK!

Re: Round 19 - Preview, Scores & In-Game Discussion

Yeah they are! Must be 4 or 5 users sitting pretty in the top 20. Got a friend of a friend that's 17th i think (was 6th last week) as well that's in one of my leagues.

Which league would that be? I'm in two leagues with him, could be one of my leagues as well.

We were sitting pretty in P2 and P6 until this week ...

no doubt you 2 must be sitting close to undefeated in the 2 leagues you're in. ;)

It's the pakeee cup. :p

That would be me who is now sitting 17th.. Question is who is the friend of the friend??

pm sent.

Thanks mate, bad luck with Hodge.

I'm actually just going with the flow, whatever happens happens.

Food for thought, but technically P2 to P18 is the same as P1 to P17 :eek::eek:

Yes fair to say we are dominating. It was funny having two teams in the top 10 overall yet the leagues are still ranked well into the 1000's. Against one another we have a rivalry that goes back a number of years - he is the reason I've never won a SuperCoach league grand final - YET!

I have heard of the Pakee Cup!

When you've spent the last month in the top 10 a drop from P2 to P18 is a huge kick in the guts, especially when you see teams come from way back at that point in time to overtake you - that's the way the game goes I guess.

You've had a stellar run at the top and I hope you can continue - time will tell if you are Might and Power or Thomas Voeckler.

The funny thing with the current P2 is that if he hadn't stuffed up the week before by having Petrie covering Steve Johnson's late withdrawal instead of having him at R3, he would be leading.
