Maybe. But he doesnt have to be rude.
I guess there's one in every bunch though. The rest of your blokes are really nice! Especially CJ and big old goofy Dean Cox :D

True. Alot of people mistake shyness for aloofness/rudeness though

I have met Luke Ball a couple of times. He is a terrific young bloke who IMO will be the future captain of the Saints.

Crawford and Dixon lived in an apartment a couple of doors down from me. Both are great guys, and Dixon in particular was very welcoming.

Nathan Eagleton is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Has all the time in the world for ya.

Brad Johnson - See Above. Such a nice guy.

i havent met any bastards.

Though i heard by a few that Nick Daffy isnt very nice.

nicest:
Jason Akermanis
Shane Crawford
Trent Croad
Garry Lyon
Daniel Southern
Aaron Lord
Tony Woods
Glenn Archer
Anthony Stevens
Michael Stevens
David King
David Schwartz
Anyone else I have missed

Rudest:
Jason Johnson
Damien Hardwick
Sean Simpson
Wayne Carey (after what he did to Stevo's wife, Carey will always be on my rudest list)

The worst player I have ever met was Sam Newman. He doesn't groom himself all that well. He stunk.

Sean Simpson seemed like a top bloke. In fact one of the nicer blokes going around...former player or not. He was pretty good for a chat. What did he do to get on your rude list?

I've only seen a few out and about

Scott Cummings- Top bloke, was as ****ed as a newt when i met him. Just a really decent guy, though.

Ben Cousins- friendly, but sort of wary- you can tell he's a bit publicity shy when out and about.

Peter Bell- Have to concur with Sabre, alas. A really decent, quietly spoken guy.

Karl Langdon- Award winning tosser and sleaze in one.

Troy Wilson- Loud, arrogant, wears poorly fitting suits.

Get a few drinks into Perrie and he's great value.

He mouthed off at me when I umpired him. I had Springbank vs Buninyong in 2001 for my 100th game. He gave the umpires a very big spray. He got himself that angry that he was sent off and reported for striking a player from Buninyong.

I went up to him to get his autograph after the match and he rudely told me to go away.

I haven't met a lot of the Power players as I live in Vic, but from my night at the Victorian Banquet earlier this year, Matthew Bishop (whom I sat next to) was really nice, very chatty and seemed genuinely friendly. Top bloke.
Josh Carr was also really nice, ready for a chat and makes time for the supporters. Also, Roger James is a real gentleman.. very nice :D
Other really friendly Power players from my experience are Matty Primus, Tredders, Ladey and Steve Salopek.

Rudest Port player: Francou and Stevens can be a bit moody at times.
Yeah I found that Nick was a bit stand-offish when I met him. Not rude, but seemed to be like "hurry up" when I was getting a photo with him.
Byron Pickett was also on my table at the Vic Banquet, he wasn't rude but was very quiet. Seemed a bit uncomfortable in the situation. Nice guy though.

From other clubs:
nice guys - Jarrad Waite, John Barker and Angelo Lekkas

rude - Damien Cupido, he is one arrogent ****er

Nice - Leigh Colbert, Gary Ablett, Garry Hocking, John Barnes.

Not so - David Spriggs, Andrew Wills, Neville Bruns, Paul Brown

I haven't met too many players, but the nicest was undoubtedly Peter "Spider" Everitt. It was roughly two years ago at The Espy in St. Kilda. I'd had a "pretty big day" and walked up to Spider at the bar and started chatting away/jabbering at him. This was just after Malcolm Blight had been given the boot at Moorabbin, so I asked him what had happened there. He asked me if I barrack for the Saints. I told him I actually barrack for the 'Pies, but quickly added that "St. Kilda is my second team". :D He was very polite/patient, and seemed like a very nice guy.

As for the rudest... I don't know if anyone will know who I'm talking about, but it would undoubtedly be Neil Peart. Circa 1982, my family and I used to spend a bit of time at Collingwood, meeting the players at functions, etc. All were very nice, but Neil Peart was a rude ****. He used to make fun of some of the kids - myself included. All the other players were really nice (honourable mention must go to Craig Davis - very nice guy), but he was just a bas**rd. I never forgot that, and when he was cleared to Richmond a year or two later I was delighted. I was even happier when Richmond fell in a pathetic heap. :D

Micky McGuane, Peter Dacios, Brad Rowe and Andrew Tranquilli were the best I've ever met. Absolute top blokes. Others who were pretty cool are Bucks, Monkey, Pants, Andrew Wills, Matthew Burton, Troy Simmonds, Jason Norrish, Roger Hayden and Andrew Seigert.

Rudest was definitely James Hird. Never met someone so full of himself in all my life. Didn't have the time of the day for anyone. At this particular function where he was guest speaker with some horse trainer, Hird stood away from everyone talking to an Essendon official who he came with, whilst the other bloke (can't remember his name) mingled with everyone there. Refused autographs also. Anyone who I've ever spoken to about Hird has said the same thing. Creep.

Gavin Crosisca is extremely conceited and rude, as is Franky Coughlan (former Saint).

Rush must've been in a downward spiral at the time. Did he carry his drumsticks around or what?

Most of the ones I've met have been really nice, the best of the lot have been Stephen Alessio, Chris Heffernan and Adam Goodes. And although he hasn't counted as a player for a very long time, Kevin Sheedy's great.

I met Mark Harvey at the Melb show, when he was still playing - thought he was great. Had a lot of rope with him.

Adam Ramanauskas wiped his nose with his hand just before he shook mine, so i dunno what to think about that one

Nick Dal Santo is a good bloke, as are the Selwoods, Nathan Thompson...
Fraser Brown and Nathan Brown are just a little misunderstood. Wayne Campbell is a nard.
