Rude - you need a tote account so you can bet exotics. And don't tell me this "corporates will bet you exotics" malarkey because they only do that until you have a win, then they restrict/ban you. Also, corporates won't bet you quaddies, big 6's, etc. ANd if you think there's no money in exotics, then your head is on backwards.

PRoblem with SO You Think in the MElbourne Cup is he's not likely to run. Remember, he's had 9 runs so far, why would Bart do a Ross McDonald and burn him out a la Weekend Hussler? Bart is a bit too clever for that.

Agree re Alcopop, clearly the pick of the Aussies at the minute - it's going to be a wet week and a cold one though b/w now and Sat so keep that in mind.

R4 I like Galizani, good overs, and have also had something each way on the toppie I'm Imposing at long odds
R5 Keen on Uxorious from Faster SOn. Uxorious a very nice galloper and over the odds. Think the ones down the bottom will all feature.
R6 More Strawberries just has to hold to win
R7 Platinum Passion very keen on, also at odds each way a roughie Select
R8 TOugh race but will have backed 6 winners by now so will be having caviar off hookers breasts anyway washed down with Veuve, but Preventable I have on top from Devil's Force and VIking Hero

I like Yosei as well in what looks to be a pretty open race especially with the rain now. Dead 5 atm and wouldn't be surprised to see it ending up slow. Also having a crack each way at a roughie in race 7 Absolute Faith.

Tale of woe, i've been following Matty Ellerton's stable since the days he had Paint, Miss Jugah, Black Bean and so on. Always have at least a tenner on every runner he has, this morning saw he had a first starter in the 2 year olds race, thought it was his only runner for the day so chucked 20(still running), in the 7th i had 30 on Lady Lynnete, when Royal Commands got up @35s i thought to myself " geez this name rings a bell" when Bryan Martin said it was trained by Ellerton/Zahra i let out the biggest FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU you'll ever hear

Just read about Alcopop`s barrier. Was tempted to back it but no longer, will take an epic effort from there.

Realistically I have no idea and being in another country means I can only go on whats written re track conditions. Dariana and Hurculean Prince appeal to me. Am nervous about Metal Bender carrying the extra weight.

Must be said I`m a relative newbie at punting and still learning the gig. Worked at in my last year of uni with a tote and my manager was pretty good on the punt. Generally looked after me with regards to tips and I found it fairly fun to start up. Generally don`t bet serious amounts (like it appears some in here do). It`s more for the joy of punting. Anyone who can give some general advice as to what processes they go through when selecting, it would be greatly appreciated.

Bloody rain, what the hell do we do with the Caulfield cup now? I won't be doing to much with it tomorrow, might take a few small trifectas with Shocking as the key banker. Will have something small eachway on Harris Tweed, liked it for a long time now. Loves it wet, and a good win last start. Will get the distance easily and looks well weighted. What about C'est La Guerre in race 7? Will love this rain, and the $5.50 on offer with Tab sportsbet is to good to refuse.
