just heard on SEN that there is a rumour going around about O'Hailpin to Essendon.

Don't see why they would want him.

Just thought I'd mention it if it hadn't been talked about before

If there is interest, then the more the better.
The Bulldogs or Melbourne would be the better suited Melbourne teams, you'd think.

As well rumoured, Fremantle lead the race for Bower, but a deal is unlikely until late Sunday or Monday, with the clubs priority being offloading Setanta first.

I cant see how the dockers are going to get the deal done for Pauly B. They are trying to get the mitch clark deal across the line which wont leave much left over to trade with.

Mitch Clark deal may not get done.

I suspect they will try and get an earlier first rounder but not sure what currency they will offer

Carlton, as we know is trying to offload both Setanta and Paul.
Again, Carlton are not looking to get rid of Setanta, Setanta is trying to find more game time. If we don't get the deal we want, he won't be going, and is happy to stay.

I hope we don't deal with Freo, they have nothing we could really use, that may want to return home. West Coast have Koby Stevens and Mitch Brown.

Does Mitch Clark have 1 yr left on his contract? By the sounds of it, can't see him putting in 100% if he is stuck at Brisbane..Sounds a bit odd WC are interested with all the talls they have..

I believe he is out of contract, and wants to go home, and I suspect that in a pinch Brisbane will bite the bullet and take Pick 16, but they are trying to get better (Pick 16 plus Palmer Comp) which Freo is holding out on.

Oh. And put the emphasis on I BELIEVE. Mostly my reading of the situation, and a variety of cobbled together facts from Twitter and the D+T Board. No sources over here

Rumours of Richmond and Essendon interested in Setanta. Bold move letting him go, considering we were so dependent on him latter in the year. I guess the Club is assuming Hampson, Mitchell, Kruezer and Waite will all be available next year - a fair assumption. We had an unbelievably bad run with injuries this season. Setanta would be a much better option than Maric for the Tiges and Essendon badly need another tall forward to cover the non-progress of Gumby. Having said that, I'd hate to see him go.

Should we take a shot at Gumbelton, but what happens if Essendon have a great year with Ohailipin? I HATE ESSENDON with a passion.

Gumby's career is going down a similar path to that of Rusling. Wouldn't take the risk with him. As for Carlos, unfortunately Essendon looks like the perfect suitor. With Neagle officially gone, Hurley going back and forward and Ryder better positioned as a ruckman, they will certainly have a decent crack at him. That being said, I have always loved his somewhat exaggerated passion after every goal and even just the thought of him doing this for the Bombers makes me sick. Hopefully he stays!

I saw Gumby's last VFL game. It was not good. A really really bad kick for goal, which is a problem if you want to be an AFL forward. You wouldn't want him occupying a spot on our list. Dons will persist because they don't have many other options, and have already invested so much into the guy.
