If the swans offer Jolly a 3 year deal then im guessing he will stay, his wife seems to be the one running the show. If Jolly was to end up heading back to Melbourne then we would basically have to draft a young ruckman, there has been talk that Cameron Wood could be in some sort of trade but we won't know anything until the trade period.

There were some stupid rumour about Luke Ball heading to Sydney but it was only because his seeing a surgeon up there so some assumed he was meeting with Roosy or something like that.

Hudson is apparently walking out on Adelaide, but he's an injury prone player.

He ruptured an anterior cruciate ligament. Happens to more players than we'd like it to. Hardly makes him injury prone. Do you reckon we ought to get rid of Malceski? After all, he ruptured an ACL a couple of years ago so he must be injury prone too? Yes?

And as for that running Irishman - three knee injuries in one season and even when his knee was OK he managed to pick up a serious virus. Better clear him out too...

(Not that I'm arguing for the recruitment of Hudson per se.)

Wow you came out all guns blazing this time Liz! I know that one knee injury doesn't make someone injury prone, but how many games has he played over the past 3 seasons? and everyone knows that knee injuries can be recurring, i'd love Hudson at the Swans if i knew we'd get 4-5 solid years out of him.

Ken McGregor looks to be a much better option though, any word on where he wants to go?

21 H&A and one final this year. And the game he missed was due to club suspension, not injury.

Not a whole heap last year (ie I'm guessing none) given he was recovering from the knee injury but was pretty much a fixture in the Crows' team prior to doing that knee.

Suprises me that he's decided to walk then:confused:

The deal seems to be that he wants a 3 year contract but the Crows are only prepared to offer him 2. I guess that at 29 years, you can see where they are coming from, but also why he values that extra year of security.

And also sounds like he has the Dogs whispering in his ear that they're willing to give him that three year deal.

Over on the Crows board there is some suggestion that he and Craig may not completely see eye to eye. But I suspect most of those posting that suggestion have no real basis on which to assume that.

Geelong midfielder Kane Tenace may be offered the chance to secure a regular spot
elsewhere, with Sydney Swans understood to be the frontrunners.

Tenace, 22, is out of contract at the end of the month and is not in contention for Geelong's finals
campaign after missing the past two months with a hamstring injury.

We done need another established ruckman. We have Jolly (when he re-signs) and Spider. You can't play Jolly, Everitt, and Hudson in the same team. That would be wasting a trade and there's no way you would get 4 -5 years out of Hudson anyway, lucky to get 3 if that.

We need to address our deficiancies in terms of a tall defender and a pacey midfielder instead.

......bad news????? Please explain.

It's pretty self explanatory.

Hm.

I can't say i know much about him.. well honestly, anything about him. I've heard the name mentioned a few times and i know his face but that's about it.

What position does he play?

Midfield. Very very quick...

We need quick midfeilders.

Indeed we do!

He only played 9 games in 2007. Pretty hard to break into this Cats lineup though. Averaged 17 disposals per game this year, and has improved in each of his 3 years before that. I cannot imagine he was getting full games.

I remember when he first started, and he looked a likely type. Will need to toughen up though, his tackle stats don't look flash. I am sure the Swans would fix that up.

Will be a good injection of pace for our outside midfield, which is currently realistically non existent.
