He is willing to get paid less and retire to leave the Bulldogs, clearly the general public will ask questions as to how this could happen. Then you will have the coach and captain just walking away from the club to nothingness. I don't think this has ever happened before (maybe in any professional sporting club?). Next year you have your shiny new coach and a new captain rallying everyone for the next stage and it will be great, but eventually someone will say why didn't we just grab 4 or 7 from the Giants.

Any trade involving a top 10 pick and a star youngster should not happen and I would be very disappointed if the club did that.

It was in the pipelines for months he was going to do that. been speaking to Leon and ward all year. his value does not go down in their eyes for what has transpired....lol

Anyway im happy with just pick 4, im excited by pick 4 and 19 and say a Bugg, im ecstatic if its pick 4 and Carltons 7 but am waiting with baited breath for the outcome...

What happened to happy with #4 and #7 mate? ;)
Personally I don't think we will get that like Barrett was reporting, although we can dream! however I'd be pretty annoyed/pissed with anything less than #4 and #19 at least as well as preferably steak knives to go with it like a Giles (if we move Minson on).

#7 is steak knives :) It's not what we value, which is young gun players ... its still not impossible 7 isnt detatched from Carlton, and the deal becomes 4 + three of (Jaksch, Giles, Whiley, 19) to the Dogs.

Think your deal with Carlton is going to happen tomorrow. I just want this deal with Griffen over and done with. Has done my head in over the weekend.

It's tough to deal with and a bitter pill to swallow, but I never deluded myself into believing that Boyd wanted to stay. The warning signs were there and it will be our first significant loss, but we are more than comfortable with out KPF stocks, I'd rather get a stud like Griffen for him than to have him bend us over at a later date, God knows you guys need compensation.

Griffen wants out. Boyd wants out. They both have expiring contracts next year, let's get it done.

I'd love to sort out the rest of the terms, as I believe Boyd's value is higher than Griffen's, but if he wants out - let's just get it done
 
Wouldn't be surprised if Liam Pickering is initiating this or BSing to get GWS to move on this. Slimy piece of $@#

This is all life in the big city.

Personally, I only want players at GWS who want to be here - if players do two years and want to piss off, it means we have stuffed up our club culture, picked the wrong players, or both.
