Official Match Thread S18 Round 10 Split Week 2 - Gold City Royals vs Baghdad Bandits at The Golden Throne

It may be that this week's team isn't our absolute strongest on paper, but my fellow youngsters timtamWB and NathanMJ_WB54 have proven themselves more than capable midfielders. I guess all that's left is for me to do the same and I feel it's time.

Royals to win and shame the Bandits, who will have lost to a "reserves team".

This is my first game in the midfield, so I'll be keeping score of who does better out of us. I mean the game is going to be a one sided affair with the Royals up by at least 50 at half time, so I've got to do something to keep my interest.

I've lost count of the number of times I've towelled you up. We've already had discussions about how you've lived in my on-field shadow years ago and nothing has changed since.

Kinda hard to avoid it given it takes up the majority of the field *boom boom*.

Whilst it's more enjoyable to make fun of you than refute your points, do some research before you try and slander my qooty name.

• Neither having much reason to brag, beez had the better of Easty. - 63m from 35 to 98.

• In what was a very slow day for both, Easty won the bout with beez. - 17m from 13 to 30.

• In a resume-material performance, beez exposed Easty's frailties. - 100m from 0 to 100.

• In a comparatively small-fry arm wrestle, beez and Easty were evenly matched. - 28m from 48 to 76.

• Neither having much reason to brag, Easty did very well against beez. - 15m from 72 to 87.

• In quite a tussle, beez came out tops over the brave Easty. - 91m from 6 to 97.

I so wish I had the energy to dig up the various threads from my Dragons days that showed a) people actually thinking I was the Dragons captain or b) were waiting for me to overthrow Ljp.

I've always made decisions in the SFA which either benefit the league or my current club which is why I didn't overthrow Ljp (he was doing a great job so it wasn't necessary), why I held off on leaving the club I loved until I was certain there were other posters capable of filling my void, why I created the Royals in the first place (let's put it this way, if I didn't we would've have the OFG Warriors to add the the 'clubs that have folded' list and wouldn't have 12 teams today) and why I stood down from the Royals captaincy (unlike a few other league captains, I knew when my time was up). It's also why I've done other things in my time - like my Season 14 days when the league needed an annoying antagonistic poster because everyone was partaking in circle jerks, and my unquestionable influence in cultivating great new posters (NathanMJ_WB54 will be the 4th poster in 6 seasons that will win an EKA playing for the same club that I'm at).

I really wouldn't want to captain the Bandits either, but if the league needed me to in order to save the club I'd do it - and the first thing I'd do is change your bloody name back.

I find it amazing in a league that promotes change and reguarly has changes between seasons (S16 saw two new teams, S17 saw the Dragons drop their southern accents, S18 saw ANOTHER 2 teams AND a new tyrant/Admin) yet we get crucified for doing the very thing the SFA was made for.

Im going to see if we can change to the Brisbane Badgers next season, just to really get some jimmies rustling.

We prefer 'cashed up club with nice colours in a great city', making us the perfect destination for experienced players to 'upgrade' after slugging out their early days at such hellish locales as Baghdad, and the best of the new entrants to the league, a sanctimonious, well educated, humorous and intelligent bunch.

And you know you just want to be a part of that. But you can't.

This question is for anyone.... How the hell is Easty getting a run in your midfield? You mean to tell me that you lot have so little depth that you have a washed up has been running around in the centre for you?

He was the worst decoy forward I have ever seen, and okey was jealous Easty was kicking more goals and insisted we move him somewhere neutral in relation to goal posts, hence the midfield.
