I got bitten by a spider (or something) the other evening. Minding my own business, felt something on my ankle...you just wiggle your foot or brush at it. I saw nothing. It is a big purple mark, hot, itchy, so sore...and as the couple of days passed, I am in excruciating pain in my joints and muscles. Called the doctor...no appointments available. Went to an urgent care place - allergic reaction to the venomous little creep. I got medicine. My goodness! Australia, I like you. Stop trying to do me in!

It's our natural border control. If you die you weren't meant to come in. Same thing with snake bites, shark attacks and drownings.

Don’t worry, I got that from hubby first. He managed to not obviously snicker for quite a while before I got wise to him.

And he said to not eat the seeds in passion fruit things. I didn’t know any better. Never had that before coming here. We were eating out and had a passion fruit sauce on our dessert...I was pushing them aside, wondering why they don’t take them out before they serve it. He couldn’t hold back the laughter that time.
