Dragons FFC vs Gold City Royals
All time record: Dragons 14 wins, Royals 8 wins
Last 5 games: Dragons 3 wins, Royals 2 wins
At the risk of being alarmist: last season's premiers are second last on the ladder, by only percentage and are in danger of completing the unwanted first to last milestone. The Royals are headed to Beldribilin having lost 4 of their last 5, and hoping for some better playing conditions which will suit last season's game style. The Dragons are cruising mid table going 3 and 2 in their last five and hold the league's second best percentage thanks to their league leading miserly defence.
It's not all defence at the Dragons, and whilst they have conceded the least points, they are also by far the most accurate club in the competition with Bonz scoring 28 goals at an outstanding 80%. If he can keep this up the low event qooty centred around a single midfielder (Matt_352) may continue to reap rewards as long as Ljp86 and HawkAussie stop giving away free kicks.
Elsewhere, the #stackedsix is no more with spookism vaguely trying to hold together a midfield containing a fat Batman and a world record holder. The premiership forward line is in tatters as evidenced by the starting full forward and forward pockets registering one kick (for one goal) between the three of them from an inexplicable 100% game time (well done Gadzorks). It's clearly evident the Royals coaching staff chucked in the towel last week, so it remains to be see if the players want to pick it up, and give it a bit of a wash to clean up something from that horror show.
The likelihood that half the visiting team will sleep through the entire match should see the Dragons dominate this fixture.
Captains: do the teamsheet thing by the right time.
