Then there was the one only a few weeks ago in England. Officially the 5th Test was cancelled on the morning of game because someone in the Indian camp allegedly tested positive to COVID, but I'm not convinced - I'm inclined to think that their real motive was to play in the IPL.

There is a fine line with the lockdowns and I can’t help but think a little more trust with some minor easings might have just settled people down a bit.

I'm with ya big fella - I no longer watch the daily updates, because I'm sick of hearing the same crap day in, and day out. It'd be nice to think that 2022 will be a better year, but you wouldn't bet on it.

They key difference though I think is you were given less restrictions and a little more trust.
Add to that basically 18 months of this here and the difference in attitude from this time 12 months ago is stark. The fatigue is very real.
Also feel like if people were given a little more outdoor freedoms such as the playgrounds, outdoor gatherings, golf etc since apparently it’s rare for outdoor transmission that all these indoor gatherings wouldn’t have taken place.
It’s almost like people are hiding inside with each other because you get nailed for it outside.

How often do they test you for alcohol in your system at work?? I had a lot 2 Fridays ago before I remembered I was oncall. I'm glad I didn't get a call as I could barely help myself, let alone have the cognitive function to help someone else...

Never been tested.

My sister in law and her husband have 3 little girls under the age of 10, and they're now in week 15 (I think) of lockdown. I haven't rung them for a month or so, but by now, you'd think the kids would be climbing the walls, and the mental state of Mum and Dad wouldn't be too flash either. At least the numbers in NSW are starting to drop ("only" 864 today), so maybe there's a small light at the end of the tunnel, but it's been a year they'll never forget!!!!!!

I just ordered mine too!

One of the cans is a collab between Rocky Ridge and Wild Hop, two of WA's best breweries. Wild Hop don't actually sell their beers in cans so should be good.

I got raided in lockdown 1, couldn't buy rice, things to wipe my arse with, anything born from wheat or literally anything that could sanitise an already sterile environment for about a week and a half. Hoarder of moist towlettes from fast food chains I was during that time. It was at that point I figured, as a society, we'd shit that bed, hard and often. You have NFI how any of this will go when scaled up until you actually see people who are literally and figuratively crapping themselves formulate a scheme to screw over 40k people for a week because me, me, me, me, me.

You've got to be in it to win it unfortunately. Even Rodders isn't setting the world alight in the goal square. Our form is quite good though, which will be revealed in this weekend's installments of Baz Stats.
