I would rate the first three seasons on par with Friends, then it drops in quality as Big Bang changes its focus from nerd humor to relationship homer. Penny and Leonard are TBBT's version of Rachel and Ross, smart awkward guy falls for the pretty new girl with no career opportunities. Neither relationship made sense
