1. Straya. Get ****ed the rest of you campaigners.... TOP TEN COUNTRIES
Ugh, get away.Hello
Happy Thursday (aka manangatang's fourth favourite day of the week)! I actually forgot what day it is, so we're more than a bit late for the thematic time of 10am, but there really isn't a bad time for ...
TOP TEN THURSDAY!
This much-loved SFA tradition is a pretty simple one - each Thursday in the match thread, a theme is posted at 10am(ish) and than anyone that wants to join in lists their top ten according to the theme. Previous themes have included TOP TEN MOVIE QUOTES, TOP TEN PLACES TO MEDIDATE and TOP TEN UNSUITABLE PETS RIGHTFULLY ATTACKING THEIR OWNERS VIDEOS. This week we're going to be listing our ...
... TOP TEN COUNTRIES
You might base it on your own family heritage or perhaps on how much you love the people from that country. It could be a place that you've loved visiting, or even the countries that you can't wait to visit once this global pandemic is finally behind us. Hell, you might be a cartophile and want to list the countries that you think look the most aesthetically beautiful.
There aren't any other rules for Top Ten Thursday except that your list needs to have ten entries (no more, no less). Feel free to order them from 1-10 if you like, and while explanations aren't necessary, they make the whole thing more interesting. And of course, ripping apart other nominations is definitely allowed/encouraged.

Weren't the Vikings from "mainland" Scandinavia though? Either way, it's high on my list of countries to visit because it looks like a completely different planet.1. Straya. Get f’ed the rest of you campaigners.
2. Canada. Has a problem with truckers atm, keeping it out of top spot.
3. Djibouti. Sounds like "you beauty"
4. Unzud. Honestly, we should invade NZ. It'd immediately improve our film industry.
5. Iceland. Because Vikings, that's why.
7. Scotland. The Falkirk Wheel is amazing.
8. Germany. Greatest JFDI nation in the world.
9. Estonia. My old boss was Estonian, and made a tonne of funny Soviet jokes. Plus Talinn sounds badass.
10. Venezuela. Every time I watch the amazing race I'm fascinated by the (altered) satellite image of Lago de Maracaibo.
Definitely agree around Hawaii being a particularly amazing place. We're (fingers crossed) going back there later this year. Any tips are greatly appreciated.Australia

I think I ruined another list day last season too.Weren't the Vikings from "mainland" Scandinavia though? Either way, it's high on my list of countries to visit because it looks like a completely different planet.
Also, what are you referencing with the satellite image? You got a link?

The Norsemen discovered and settled Iceland, birthing the country in their existing Viking traditions. However mainland Scandinavian Norsemen descended from the northern migrations of Germanic peoples under threat from the Roman empire to the south. It gives Icelandic heritage a distilled viking purity.Weren't the Vikings from "mainland" Scandinavia though?
