There aren't any other rules for Top Ten Thursday except that your list needs to have ten entries (no more, no less). Feel free to order them from 1-10 if you like, and while explanations aren't necessary, they make the whole thing more interesting. The Norsemen discovered and settled Iceland, birthing the country in their existing Viking traditions. However mainland Scandinavian Norsemen descended from the northern migrations of Germanic peoples under threat from the Roman empire to the south. It gives Icelandic heritage a distilled viking purity.

Lago de Maracaibo is in the middle below the right edge of the A in RACE. IMO it's one of the more interesting natural formations when viewed from space.
