They've been absolutely ruined by having a complete nuffie as coach who tries to implement Hinkley's game plan.

If Carry does get the job, I hope he gets a sanfl coach in and tells him to coach them to win under sanfl conditions. Yeah play the players largely in the positions they will play in the AFL but let him switch it up. Hartlett is completely clueless, and not helped by looking like it's a coaching committee out there with Lobbe and Westhoff making decisions. Utter rubbish.

Carry might try to get Surjan across from North, but if not I would even be happy to offer the job to Bassett tomorrow. He's just faffing around as an assistant to Steve Marshall and would probably like the opportunity to stick it up Ken who shot him into the sun.

The appointment of Hartlett did not surprise me given the decision making of our club. His complete failure as a coach also did not surprise me, I expected nothing less.

Agree, I want a hard as nails Sanfl coach who coaches to win Sanfl games as a first prioity. Do that and you will develop your younger players far quicker & they'll be much happier. The club just over complicates everything.

In amongst Gerard’s embarrassing, fawning defence of Ken he actually says the only thing that needs to be said. No coach makes it 12 years without a GF appearance and then survives a season of obvious decline.

His subsequent “Port fan bad” narrative makes absolutely no sense in the context of this comment, which has proven true throughout the 150 plus year history of Australian Rules Football.

No supporter base, of any club, has accepted it. Ever. So why should we?

Our Board blinked and shat the bed after the 2017 EF debacle and extended Ken scared of him running to the Gold Coast, despite the fact that the last three years had yielded only 1 final, a loss.

Then 2018 and 2019 happen marking one finals appearance in 5 bloody years, and he still sticks around.

I can almost forgive what happened from 2020 to now - but how the hell did he manage to get two contract extensions after what transpired between 2015 and 2019?

Matthew Richardson stood up at the AGM and told us all if we're not excited about the list and where we're going then there's something wrong with us (then I started yelling at him calling bullshit basically). They have not gently tried to tell us anything until the last week or two which is the usual goal post shifting rubbish we get when things turn sour.
