lol imagine the club trying to do this in the 80s

The entire organisation would have been lynched in the centre square.
We at so far removed from who we were as a football club it isn't funny.

I don't even know what we are anymore, some thing using the Port Adelaide name that has alienated a whole stack of their die hard members and supporters. It's beyond laughable now.

When Alyx swipes his membership card at the first home game next year...

Some time ago, I worked for a large organization that paid 200,000 dollars for an independent employee survey to be conducted due to the discontent within the organization (approx 1500 staff) that had become toxic. No result was ever issued although the union as part of the "review", was to be informed in general terms of the outcome. What was notified was no amount of manipulation of results satisfied senior management. The results were the worst the survey analyses group had even been involved with. From that exercise within one year, hundreds of staff had been "retrenched" due to "restructure".

Ben claims he understands, but has not identified how he understands or what he understands. His replies only relate to being able to identify the name and contact details of an individual so that can (I assume) can be submitted to more senior management for whatever reason, which he might hope includes a pay rise.. Does he apply this rule to all posters on all social media ?

Results of survey ?. What results ? I haven't seen any. Why have a member survey and not report the outcome to the members : unless of course it does not meet management narrative or the results are that bad they can't be manipulated, keeping in mind the lack of questions relating to the senior coach. Ben claims to have sighted every response. Good. It would therefore indicate he has also sighted the complied report of the results and would be apart of any think tank (if they had one) to improve membership " experience," going forward. It appears censorship is part of their membership task force.

Who are the individuals that have approved this form of censorship ? Where are their names and contact details? What group decided in what meeting and was Ben part of that group discussion ? Is the person requesting contact details, the same person who approved the deletion ? I'm sure Ben maybe a great bloke but he's also a paid employee.

For playing the censorship card, Ben will be getting an email from me on Monday. Full email address with member number. I have sent a few emails to the club during the course of the year and did not receive one reply. Don't expect one this time either.

What has our club become and it's about time for ex players that loved the club to speak out.

Absolutely.
Some of whom are high profile journalists ! ..............and Kane Cornes. 😊
And many others to the supporter base that still hold influence ..........and Kane Cornes😀

.

What is emailing going to achieve?

The idea is to put pressure on the club, publicly, because we have no agency to effect change in any other way (apart from by dropping memberships).

Benny D is great, but this isn't an issue he can solve. It's a major problem with the entire culture of the club from the top down.

Might tweet a bit more regularly at them in response to this.

Yeah it’s completely pointless talking to the Club about this now. You’re better off sending Alyx’s body of work to David King.

The club is basically run how the afl want it to be run thats the problem
Gill and friends are control freaks, they sweep things under the carpet, sugar coat things, spin s*** deny wrong doings (crows camp an example), draw up dodgy fixtures and i can go on. They have too much control over all the clubs but especially clubs like us and the crows whos boards are appointent by the afl.So our boards priority is to satisy city hall first then members come second.
Even the traditional member run clubs are not what they used to be because of the influence the idiots running this game try to exert. The afl are fast becoming another version of the sanfl only bigger bunch of idiots who are ruining the game. Change of attitude is needed thier first before clubs like ours can be run properly and to start listening to members.

We need a rally down at Alberton and tip off the tv stations.

Well it gets back to making sure attendances are down along with membership is the only way, the AFL would have to sit up and take notice.

Sure it hurts the club but the idiots running it atm are hurting it more and we will lose the club we once loved.

Maybe I have misinterpreted Benny D's comment that only something like 3,500 members returned the recent survey, (or is that figure for those who voiced their dissatisfaction?), but either way if it's anywhere near correct there are either a lot more happy clappers out there than I imagined, or there are a lot of lazy campaigners who complain, but then are happy to sit back and let others do the heavy lifting.
I've never had one, so I assume they are only sent to a subset of members?

This how we are viewed in Melbourne.

“We all sat here and thought Port were the real deal, potentially a top four side, and a premiership side,” Brown said on SEN radio.
“They were absolutely insipid and pathetic. They didn’t chase, they were soft and their work rate was pathetic.
“The goals from turnover shows how poor they worked defensively. That’s a big wake-up call for them because they were disgraceful.

Another @pafc no show pathetic

The club say it's the supporters fault, give me a break.

As I mentioned in another post I got two surveys about 6 weeks apart, maybe the 2nd one was a follow up to the first after I voiced my dissatisfaction with Koch and Hinkley specifically, and other members may have got follow up surveys for similar reasons.

As an aside I know an occasional poster here who definitely received the first survey but didn't return it, citing he didn't have time, even though it was sent to him something like two weeks before it was due.
I don't know if he got the 2nd survey, or bothered to return that either.

Regardless of the above though, if the club did only send out approximately 3,500 surveys from its total membership of 55k plus it could suggest they were only picking the eyes out of it, and if that was the case I suspect the responses they received would have barely scratched the surface.

Yeah I never got one. I've often felt that Essential Power memberships are treated a bit differently from other Power memberships. Despite being at the more expensive end of memberships, perhaps the previous connection with the SANFL membership maybe makes us not "True Believers"?

Any rate if they recieved 3500 replies, you'd expect maybe 4-5000 would have been sent out. It's a very decent sample size. If anything it probably would have been skewed well towards the negative given that those who are angry and want to voice that anger were probably far more motivated to complete the survey.

I'm not sure how many surveys go out? I never get one buy my wife does so I fill hers out, one per household maybe?
Never received one ever.
Did once send one to KT several years back. He did respond, but that was back when he probably didn't have as many issues to worry about then.
Have been tempted to send one (drafted up a really long email recently) to them - then thought the better of it, as it may prejudice my attempt to do some volunteer work there (they do get narky it appears to any criticism).

Both me and my other half always get the surveys. Two different membership categories. I always fill them in, I do his as well, he wouldn’t get around to it, and I get to voice my opinion twice 😉.
Same but i fill in his because he is a Crows supporter and i can't be letting him have any sort of opinion on Port Adelaide. But even he is feeling sorry for us these days, christ.
