It might be rare but this is a side coming off two prelims expected to be sitting high in the 8, with three of those five wins coming against the absolute trash of the competition.. do they not examine the wins?

100% this. They're all dazzled at Hinkley asking why we couldn't win the next 5 games and then proceeding to win 5 of 6. They don't stop and think "hmm... if I said at the end of last season that Port would be 5-6 after 11 rounds, would I think that's a decent result?" Of course the answer is no, it's a horrible decline. We've had our share of injuries, but we've got them back over time and some would say injuries to some players actually forced us to find a decent forward system in a few of those games there. You shouldn't have your whole season derailed largely off the back of one player. We're either too one dimensional and rely too heavily on players like Dixon due to our lack of plan B OR the players we put on the park, and the system we've developed SHOULD have been enough to do better, the media can't have it both ways.

The wheels are turning. I've gone in with seeing what response I'd get on Facebook to how it was an excuse laden piece of Ken arse covering and it was far from the only anti-Ken reply. There's the usual happy clapper bullshit, but the club would be looking at the replies and realising their polishing a turd is no longer working on the majority.

Currently doing the member survey sent to me via e-mail. In answering the question, "Why are you feeling more negative about Port Adelaide?", this was my response:

We haven't played in an AFL grand final for 15 years, and yet Ken Hinkley appears to be as secure as ever in his position as senior coach. I firmly believe it's time for change, and strongly believe the players will benefit greatly from the change. Most rival teams have played in a premiership decider since 2007, and I'm bloody jealous!!!!!

It's a club that reinforces low achievement as long as we're all good blokes. The current custodians have set a dangerous precedent with its handling of Hinkley's tenure. Future custodians could think this is the norm for Port and follow on.
