Honestly I feel like he was very much accepted until the 2017 Elimination Final debacle + off season extension, and even then the worm only began turning.

How long are we supposed to accept this? Crows coaches don't last two years of missing Finals? Yet Ken has done it twice. He is about to be objectively one of the least successful coaches in history.

Just remembered that 3 of our 10 board members are Kochie, Wanganeen and Holly Ransom.

I don’t think that any of the 3 will want to push the sack Hinkley motion anytime soon.

Kochie for obvious reasons of natural love and affection towards the sultana man, Ransom and Wanganeen for reasons of not appearing to care at all - the board position just seems to be a nice thing to have on their career resumes. Which is pretty common for board members…

Anyway, I imagine the board needs to pass a special resolution in order to sack Hinkley. This would require 8/10 board members being in favour of sacking.

Do you see the issue? We’d need all 7 of the remaining board members plus one of Kochie, Ransom or Wanganeen to vote in favour.

Unless someone knows better than me and we only need an ordinary board resolution? In which case 6/10 board members in total would be enough.

*Love Wanganeen, but I think we can all agree that he hasn’t brought what we thought he’d bring to the board (in fact what has he brought at all?)

**I accept I’m making a few assumptions about people in this post and you might not all agree.

Wanganeen is no longer on the board. Stepped down about June last year. Rob Snowden was the member elect prior to the AGM in February.

It's one thing to be gaslighted by Cornes and Rucci, who are both clearly conflicted, but Josh Jenkins? F*** me. At least Kingy is onto him, he's a prominent voice. Wonder what Hinkley's boyfriend Whateley will say.

Yep a lot held on after that.

For me the failure to pick a captain in 2019 was the final straw.

Like even if you're not having success, even if you're not perfect with game day strategy, picking a captain is one of the clearest and easiest responsibilities. You literally just say someone's name. Once he couldn't even do that I largely lost hope (with an occasional false dawn created by those times Schoey looked to be calling shots).

....

As for who we are going to bring in Kane? ...
But who we are going to replace Hinkley with is the lamest of lame defenses. I've posted before that when the Hinkley apologists say that you know they've got nothing.

If the club took that attitude Primus would not have been sacked and Hinkley, as an unproven senior coach, would never have been hired.

These metathesiophobic morons just need to STFU.

You know you're in trouble when even Josh Jenkins is asked about it.

Bye Bye Ken.

For this and many other reasons, Ken in 2019 was one of the absolute all round worst coaching performances I've ever seen. It beggars belief that he survived that season.

This time feels different.

A lot of people have called for Hinkley to go over the past 4 or 5 years, but across the wider supporter base he seemed to be backed in. It feels like the consensus has turned and he's lost the large majority of supporters now. Helped by the media calling out the awful gameplan, which is hard to miss without Charlie covering it up - finally.

Happening so early in the season probably means even the head in the sand board won't be able to ignore it and keep him for the whole season, let alone 2023. Feels like he's actually gone this year once finals are impossible. Although a caretaker coach will short staff our already thin coaching line up.

I'm probably one of the biggest "Hinkley Haters" going around and I sang an Ace of Base song about the man ffs.

I feel that we all need to hear more about this.

Co-captains was the real killer not just for Ken. It killed KT and it killed Koch as much as it did Ken. There was absolutely no coming back from ignoring the fan base in such a manner and irreversibly ****ing up something that made us who we are..or should I say were.

And yet, here we are. Cockroach Ken.

Josh Jenkins, one of the most maligned players in the history of the AFC, comes out with this lol.
what Josh is really saying is "why didnt the crows see that i was a champion full forward, they didnt appreciate me and they dont appreciate Ken' aurelio vidmar was right. I hate you Adelaide'
