He very well may have put in the effort and been committed but you've missed the most critical part which is performance, which he has had ample opportunity but has not delivered (unless you rate prelim losses as successes).He should see out his contract, unless the 2 parties can reach an amicable agreement otherwise. He has put in the years of effort and commitment and this should be respected.
As for AFL coaches amicably parting ways with their clubs and fulfilling their contracts - that's cute, but rarely a reality, in any elite sporting competition.
