Rowe calling the person who put the sticker on the sign a coward low life scum who is probably unemployed and missing front teeth....
Even if that were true (although it sounds slanderous and discriminatory to me) it doesn't mean that he or she isn't right.

Interesting that Crows ambassadors are so keen for us to retain our current coaching structure...

...

I don't think people fully appreciate just how close to folding this club was in 2012. 2013 was literally a Khmer Rouge 'Year Zero' for Port Adelaide in terms of it's AFL journey. ...
What a load of absolute bollocks.

Regardless of the state of the list he inherited he has had 10 years to develop and tweak. Outside of last offseason we have got just about every major target we've gone for, retained everyone we needed, got the draft picks we wanted, etc.

After 10 years the excuses run out.

Heck, after 5 years and that 2017 finals choke the excuses run out.

I haven’t seen so many people violently overreact to such a relatively benign and inoffensive symbol of protest in my life.

It’s like a certain section of our supporter base view Hinkley as a prophet.

I've always rated our best 22 - if on the off chance we managed to keep our best 22 on the park for the majority of the season, like we did in 2014, we would give most teams a run for their money.

It's the guys underneath that are the problem. They were delisted and not traded because they had no currency. Guys like Ben Newton for example. Andrew Moore was a first round draft pick that should have got us something - nothing. John Butcher - first round draft pick - nothing. Jasper Pittard had to be bundled up with Jared Polec. We got absolutely nothing for Ben Jacobs who was a first rounder. Etc etc. Harvey, Shaw, Neade...the list goes on. A team that is vying for the flag should be able to sell their reserve players for at least a third or fourth round pick, and their young first round picks for a first round pick in exchange. Best 22 players should fetch at least a second round pick.

They didn't get there because they had no pressure from underneath to push them to the elite standards necessary to win a flag. You want to know what I blame? After 2004, we went on a cost cutting exercise and completely gutted out our Victorian recruiting department (the main source of talent for drafted players) and our scouting team. It was only reinstated in 2012.

We've had a decent recruiting department for 10 years, which is why the guys we drafted during that time (Impey, Austin, Howard, Ladhams) that left the club actually had some value. It's why we haven't had a bust in the first round since then and why I didn't question the club when they traded out of 2017 to get Marshall and Powell-Pepper. If we had a recruiting department in 2009 we select Talia, Jetta, Fyfe, Gunston, Duncan or Gawn with our first three picks, or bundle up Pick 8 and 9 to get Pick 3 from Richmond for Dustin Martin.

I don't think people fully appreciate just how close to folding this club was in 2012. 2013 was literally a Khmer Rouge 'Year Zero' for Port Adelaide in terms of it's AFL journey. Whatever we had done from 1997-2012 hadn't worked, because we had cut costs on the future of our football department. It's why the reunification of the Magpies into the club was important. A complete reset.

We aren't winning a flag unless a) our best 22 is on the park more often than not or b) we improve our reserve side to the point where they consistently play finals in whatever reserve competition they are in.
People who think port were at some sort of financial oblivion have rocks in their heads. Everyone knows the afl is set up to have clubs every year in some sort of financial trouble. It's the way the system works and why clubs allow themselves to be screwed over in the draw. It's because the afl will protect the struggling clubs and allow the show pony clubs to rake it in for them. They weren't gonna let port fold and then spend the next ten years propping up gc and gws. And next year there will be another 3 clubs struggling, followed by the year after that etc etc. In ports circumstance they were being screwed by the afl and sanfl. Have a few brain cells to not believe the fake narratives.

I hope he fails miserably if he goes elsewhere. I want the Ken's a good coach myth destroyed.
Even better if and when he's coaching another team Port do a demolition job on him, then I will watch every second of his after match presser.

Can see it now when he comes up against Port. We will terrorise Conner Rozee I reckon, Port are a very good side and we will have to play our best footy to challenge them.

We need to report him to Thunderpants, to see if we can take legal action.
