Saints in 08

Everyone is saying the Saints wil improve in 08 and yes they may but i wouldnt get to carried away with there drafting like other have.

King = if he gets fit may be good but thats a big if
Gardnier = pure dud
dempster = pathetic
scheinder = if fit adds class and will help alot


Still king and Gardiner in ruck, they have played like 10 games in 2 yrs and if both get injuried then saints r in trouble. Also delisting Watts who looked for sure to replace Gehrig is interesting esp if Roo or Kosi go down, i still see alot of whole in this team, not alot of midfield pace, dodgy ruck duo, clarke brothers still on list, milne still running around and a coach unproved still, and losing hamill, the man who ran straight past the ball in 06 and tried to take the frak johnson out of action only stuffing his own knee, what a gutless man, a man who couldnt even play finals lolol.


i'd rather trust Chapman, a bloke who said "we know who the better team is" and from what i've heard he and Geelong think the saints r soft and cant stand the heat in big games.

Maybe u can get Grant thomas back, he was good at getting the team to work together, going to the movies, buulding things for the community etc etc, its ok Saints, i know u thought u were better hten Geelong but like youre history u wasted the last 5 yrs with that moron Thomas and he has set the club back 50yrs and i dont see it recovering anytime soon, if u guys think u can challenge in 08 just ask chappy again on his thoughts.

They got those 4 players for next to nothing.

It means they haven't sacrificed their best draft picks in order to top up, they're in a position to inject the team with quality youth AND experience.

They had a slow start to the year and played a terrific second half of the season, along with Brisbane.

Ross Lyon and his game plan will have a preseason with the team and they'll be much better for it in 2008.

Saints will be big improvers in 2008 in my opinion.

Not going to use the injuries as an excuse but hopefully they'll get a better run in 2008.

I'l be happy if they can get a spot in the 8 and improve on that the following year.

I cant really see them improving. They lost Gehrig and some other good players-i cant remember their names right now. They could make the 8 but i cant see them having much of an impact.

Sam fisher is an absolute ripper but max hudgton just can't do it like he use to and i don't see Rapheal Clarke adding much run.

I wouldn't mind putting a wager on them to make the 8. Not so sure about the flag though

But a note about Gehrig, it was becoming more obvious that he was going to retire as the season progressed. He only made an impact in a handful of games and as harsh as it may sound, it was almost like he was a decoy.
