So basically the majority and probably a fair bit more then the majority will back the AFL over us, so what happens now? rines
For those who may not know... this statement:
"We resolved to unanimously express our support for the integrity of the AFL Rules and the need for those rules and the integrity of our competition to be preserved.
Actually relates to the fact that the 'AFL Rules' are like a deck of cards.. if they are challenged in court, they all fall over. Essentially all parties agreeing that IF this goes to court.. then everyone hurts and everyone's dirty laundry gets public. Very dangerous and doesn't help the 'AFL Management' one bit in court.. the court is interesting in one thing only: EVIDENCE.. not how quickly the other club presidents want it sorted out.. especially when at least four members of that group are highly beholden to the governing body...!

I was thinking about this. Would this be frowned upon?
Playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, it's not surprising that someone with negative things to say about the club and Hird would want to be anonymous, to avoid any consequences falling on her son.
Think its kavanaghs, if true
Gees Caro's going to look bad if that mother was a fake. Regardless the rest of her article was childish trash.
YepNow we wait. None of this 'media' stuff that the AFL doing changes ANYTHING. None of these press conferences or meetings or statements makes any different in a court of law.
The reality is the situation is just getting worse and worse and no end in sight. Both parties need to get back to the table and figure out something. I've said all along.. the AFL needs to take the officials off the table.. and the point stripping and EFC have to accept massive fine and draft picks.
That is the only way this gets settled out of court imho.
He also urged his son to get to Essendon when draftedWhich to me, makes very little sense. Would not have signed a 2 year deal less then 2 months ago, based on what that caller said.
The same simoro1.
No one can predict where this ends up. Nothing that is happening at the moment is anything more than posturing by both sides. AFL want us out of finals.. have wanted that since around July.. club just won't give in.. AFL wants Hirds head on a stick, have done since February... club and Hird won't give in...
All I would say is that IF it goes to court.. we win 'legally' but PR will kill us.
If it doesn't go to court.. we are going to get slammed like no one else before and most likely no one else ever again either.. it will be fines, points, picks, hird, reid, corcoran, thompson and probably more...

Well.. in a HUGE shock announcement.. the other 17 clubs have all 'sided' with the AFL.

Well actually they have stated that this needs to be 'sorted out' and 'quickly' and 'in house' and 'out of the media'..
but apparently that is the same thing to the media..
YepElliot's dad?
