I would have supported an EFC that made no deals and was obliterated to the EDFL 3rds.

I'll have a massive crisis of faith supporting an EFC that has accepted the worst penalty in the history of the game for governance issues. I'll have great difficulty having even a vague interest in the Australian Football League if this crucifixion comes to pass.

**** this.

I'm with you on this. **** everybody. If we know it isn't true and haven't been given a right of reply, don't stop there!

Yeah I'm with you guys. **** the AFL and anyone that thinks any bit of thi process has been fair or just.

If I wasn't such a pansy I would seriously burn down afl house. Throw the age in there aswell

No, we'd have to due to the broadcasting rights.

I am serious.

Club would rest players - That is a given - And the club can argue that the players are mentally stressed.

But if Essendon lose points for games played thsi year...what happens in Rd 23? would we just get 4 points?
Doubt it. If the Storm situation is a precedent, if Essendon (or Storm) win, no points are awarded for that game.

I like your optimism.

We were already cooked,, and this would just make us 'extra well done'.

yeah I agree mate, but if somehow we did pull off a miracle I don't think that would mean the other team gets the points, surely all the team we have beaten through the year wont get the points?

If we lose all of our points for this year, what happens in terms of draft picks?
I'd say that we would get the draft pick as if we had our points (so right now we are 7th, so we would get the appropriate pick for that finish). That's assuming we don't lose draft picks too.

It's impossible to guess what the VladFL will actually do though

I dont care if the penalty is far worse.. it's past the point of no return.

The AFL are going to have to rip it from our hands and have it challenged in court.

I'd rather die fighting than simply roll over.

Plus if i were the players and this penalty is handed down, i would not take the field. I'm all for an on-field protest.

I know there are some who are angry at the prospect of a deal, but this is a fight we can't win. If we can salvage an arrangement that vindicates us against the slanderous claims of drug cheating, I will take it, although I remain of the belief that James Hird does not deserve a 12 month suspension, and the loss of four top draft picks on top of the subtantial fine and a ban from 2013 finals is out of proportion.
I can't accept any accusations that our players took the prohibited thymosin substance, because there is no evidence to support it.

Not really, just means they have values divergent with those of the club.

where's the dislike button? horrible horrible post dude. "the club" is so much more than this controversy. through thick or thin, better or worse etc is SO relevant at the moment.
