SDKs a premiership playerTDK worth double
So is Billy Frampton... Your point?SDKs a premiership player
Couldn't be. He's a ruck and the ruck is a largely low worth position at the top end.TDK worth double
Always the best line this time of year like it means anything,So is Billy Frampton... Your point?
TDK worth double
TDK would be close to the highest value player in the league. Daicos and Reid would still be ahead but TDK projects as what could be the best ruck in the competition for the next half dozen years.Couldn't be. He's a ruck and the ruck is a largely low worth position at the top end.
High worth at the back up position
Williams, McGovern, Newman, Docherty etc etc will all be winding up. We should have no issues keeping himmake sense carlton trying to clear out cap space moving on contracted players as you need to pay TDK big coin. you wouldnt want another club tempting him since all your cap tied up to 6 players and potentially houston now.
good luck.

SDK doesn't even know what his best position is at this stage after losing his way down back the last couple years.
TDK worth plenty, SDK about half that.
Can't be. Rucks are an overrated position.TDK would be close to the highest value player in the league. Daicos and Reid would still be ahead but TDK projects as what could be the best ruck in the competition for the next half dozen years.

Yeah I don't think we'd trade him for either at this stage.so carlton would knocked back trades for sam darcy or harry sheezel for TDK?
Depends how good said ruck is. I recall Gawn absolutely annihilating ur mob a few years back in the finals and the position didn't seem overrated thenCan't be. Rucks are an overrated position.
Dreaming now if you wouldn't trade him for DarcyYeah I don't think we'd trade him for either at this stage.
Why would Carlton trade TDK for Darcy given our list make up right now?Dreaming now if you wouldn't trade him for Darcy

The best ruckmen of the last 20 years have all featured prominently in grand finals throughout though. Cox, Gawn, Natinui, Sandilands, Grundy, Ottens, Jolly. Only one that sticks out to me as never experiencing much overall team success was Goldstein.McEvoy x3, Jo.Roughead, Nankervis x3, Vardy/Lycett, Gawn, Stanley, D.Cameron
Recent premiership ruckman. One dominant, a few good types and some journeymen.
Missing: Goldstein, Sandilands, Grundy, Naitanui
Given GF's are between the two best teams, often similarly matched in skill, surely a great ruck featuring in lots of GF's and often on the losing side proves the relative uselessness of the ruckman, or more specifically, the hitout. The best ruckmen of the last 20 years have all featured prominently in grand finals throughout though. The absolute top line rucks have a lot of value in the game, the tier below are fairly replaceable.
Just my opinion on the matter.
I don't think many of the great rucks have simply been hit out only players for as long as I've lived. The best get involved around the ground as marking threats and link playersGiven GF's are between the two best teams, often similarly matched in skill, surely a great ruck featuring in lots of GF's and often on the losing side proves the relative uselessness of the ruckman, or more specifically, the hitout.
There's a footy stats book, and Bucks used to reference it in press conferences, winning the hitouts results in winning 51.3% of matches. Matches are 50:50 contests to begin with.
Interesting take.Edmund and Twomey are both good journos and both shut it down last week.
Ralph is an absolute worm who knows nothing.
Throws out opinion with no evidence or backing.
