Keep in mind here.

It's not just Ken.

Josh Carr has a say and the mids themselves.

Whatever is going on they are all in on it.

Butters and Rozee say they want Hayes they get Hayes.

Josh Carr says he wants Hayes he gets Hayes.

Whatever it is they are in on it.

Yep. Even at SANFL level the directive all year has been to play Visentini ahead of Hayes. Hayes has become the biggest after-thought in the history of the PAFC. As someone else pointed out, the only recognition he has gotten all year is from the Social Media team who acknowledged his birthday a few weeks ago.

The mouthpieces in the media for the club - Kornes, Rucci, Ginever - never mention him as a remote possibility to come into the side.
The SANFL coaches have definitely under-used him in the ruck.
The AFL coaches have overlooked him for two grossly under-prepared ruck options.

Even the "Around the state leagues" piece on the AFL website doesn't mention his game yesterday. It's fishy AF

Why is there no competent independent media person who can at least ask the question

The following players have all been given more games in the ruck than Sam Hayes:

Fabian Deluca
Cain Ackland
Jarrad Redden
Brent Renouf
Barnaby French
Ollie Wines
Sam Powell-Pepper

It sounds like the club already had plans to debut Visentini against GC, presumably because they expected Lycett to need a rest.

Having exposed him to an average AFL ruckman, albeit under rushed circumstances, and seen how far he was off it, I would be disappointed if we threw him to the wolf that will be Witts this week.

We are talking like the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark type of melting.
Not choosing Hayes is more:

True. You cant on one hand say Ken is just a cheerleader on the bench and in the other say hes preventing Hayes getting a game.

(I also suspect he may well play this week)
