I understand that, but do you really believe someone as competitive as Sammy will be willing to just play 5-10 a season?
I agree it would've been nice to keep him, but you don't manage someone like Sam Mitchell unless its a Crawf situation and you're trying to nurse him to one last shot at glory. Sam will return to Hawthorn, it just wont be for 4-5 years.

And by that time, our young midfield will be set in their ways. All I am saying is that it is laughable that he is worth pick 88. We didn't even use it. Pick 85 and I'm down for it.
