He's better than Clurey. His direct opposition for a spot in the team normally.

So how do you explain how our defence has been so good the last few seasons.

I'd like to see another game or two from him but his lack of speed should have been picked up prior to drafting him yeh?
 
Lack of speed is something that will look more obvious at AFL level compared to SANFL level or training. And the way Hawthorn were moving the ball last weekend was just about as quick as it gets.

Unfortunately that is a generous appraisal of the situation. Don't want to be too hard on him as he's doing well just to be out on the field, but when Big Boy Mcevoy ran off him I sat with my mouth wide open and thought 'he should never play again'. How he passed a medical, I don't know.

definitely improved as the game went on

Goes for the mark more often than the spoil which is good although if you drop the ball you are then ****ed. Needs to hang on to the intercepts and be more selective about when to mark or spoil.

An improvement on the previous week but still had goals kicked on him by himmelberg which is worthy of an instant delist such is the embarassment.
 
Looked better this game, not quite as slow. Still caught out of position a bit.
Our defence is poor one on one;he's worth persisting with for a few more games to see if he can adjust to the speed of the game.
We need a KPF that is good one on one!
 
Was always going to be a third tall at best and should have been developing behind the lead defenders. But with our defensive injuries was catapulted into the Aliir role.
 
He improved having been thrust into the lead big defender/intercept marker role and was unfortunate to go off injured. Probably a factor in us losing the game.

He should be perservered with at least until maybe Clurey or definitely Allir is available.
 
He’s a much much worse Dougal Howard and that’s saying something
