You reckon bringing in an injury prone key forward on big money and trading 3x first round picks in the process is good business?

Geelong aren’t winning a flag with their current squad - that deal is going to go down as a stinker.

Meh, seen three flags and countless finals over the past two decades so we have had a good run. Had to do the Cameron deal, once Hawkins goes we had nobody at all to play up there.

If you think it was a mistake good for you. I don't agree. Now we are OT.
This thread has been off topic. You have even mentioned we won't get much out of Jack Martin for the next 3 years.

Your aging team missed a great opportunity to inject youth. For a free agent you folded and it will hurt your team for many years to come.

Once Hawkins goes?!?
So Tom is obviously playing this year. At 33yo (34 in July), let's assume he retires at year end. You'll be replacing him in 2023 with a 30yo Cameron.
Gotta stick to the MO I suppose.

Anyway, Walsh is off the market for a few more years. Probably due one more 5 year contract at the Blues before he moves to Geelong to replace Selwood.

What’s ya point , I was just pointing out why there are still those who call in to question Carltons methods.
I don’t give a crap personally.
Anyone who thinks THIER club is clean is delusional.

🙄 and supposed bank accounts.........please !
I thought my point was obvious.
Our club has form. Every club has form.
Carlton's 'methods' from 20+ years ago have been used by everyone. Some have been caught, some haven't. Some we know about, some we've heard rumours about, some we'll possibly never hear about.
It's amazing how everyone clings to "Carlton are the only salary cap cheats", when only one team has been found guilty of breaching in a year when they won the flag, but rarely gets mentioned.

The comment about the club having form was a deliberate jab and now you're having a sook about being called out on it.

Lol a sook , ok brother !

Russell (our fitness guru) said in his weekly injury update that the injury isn't as bad as Stocker's, which has/will take about 12 weeks to recover from. Inferred it was an 8 week injury, therefore missing 8 weeks.

Rumours now that Walsh is doing everything humanly possible to run out in Round 1, which will bring it down to 4 weeks. Hoping and thinking the club won't allow him to rush back, causing a more significant injury.

We can't replace Walsh, we have to trust in our fringe players to step up and play the new system, which is allegedly more team focussed.

Let's save Walsh from himself and look at the big picture.
