I live in Gordon so pretty close to the area (in a rural sense). Lots of helicopters around early in the week, not so much now.

You don't want to think this way but what I find very strange is Hubby wasn't out looking for her and when police thought they found evidence the other day he didn't get out of his car that I saw.

If my wife went missing like that I would be out with the spotlight and a shotty 24/7.

Anyway, as a male even I would not jog alone in some of those areas.

Hope I am wrong and she is found or has deliberately run away for some reason.
Hey dudes, stop accusing the husband. It's rank conspiracy disrepectful rubbish.
There is probably only 2 possibilities imo. Murder or fallen down a mineshaft.

I feel the opposite. His demeanour seems in stark contrast to the daughter. He seems uncomfortable with daughters distress (lots of lip licking biting and averting eyes) then when he does talk he seems unconcerned and jokes about having enough food for 12 months.

But who knows. Could just be his personality.

Well he wasn't as obviously nervous and evasive as John Sharpe, not as obvious fake sincere as Ristevki, can't really tell weather he's legit or not. Still statistically the husband did it.

Until he’s categorically ruled out he’ll be the prime suspect due to statistical probability in cases like this. I’m sure the police and doing a very in-depth study of his movements

Homicide detectives have been called in to help lead the search for Samantha Murphy as the hunt for the missing mum enters its sixth day.

Lots of speculation in one of the Daily Mail articles, but some useful info (if correct):
  • trying to make a headline out of her missing family's most recent annual holiday to Torquay (friend confirmed because she had Covid, and said there was no family issue)
  • still image of her about to start her run is from their own home CCTV
  • husband was at home when she left, and he was the one who reported her missing to police

With homicide now involved, is it because of their skill sets that can assist the search, or because police have information that points to homicide?

Plus someone at DailyMail has been reading my posts on here!

"It's feared she may have been the victim of a callous hit and run which has sent her flying into the verge or roadside bushes where she has remained unseen."

croweater 41 I think they read our exchange about YFR.

I’d be surprised if random creeps are waiting at 7am. My guess It’ll be someone known to her or an accident. If we do find out

As someone who works a lot at night and into the early hours you'd be surprised how many random creeps are shuffling about.

Often in places you wouldn't expect.

I used to live in Mount Clear right near the highschool so would often go up and over the hill and down the other side with the dogs.

Would often see things that would make me think sketchy people had been down around that area.

Seemed to be a popular place for dumping all kinds of things.

Also, I think posters accusing or defending her husband would both be best keeping an open mind until more info comes to light.
Yeah a lot of people went the early crow with Jill Meagher’s husband. Wasn’t helped when he gave a nervous doorstop interview, so not much should be read into Michael Murphy’s demeanour.

Daily Mail will never surprise me where they got their info from.

So two people (I’m assuming you’re local to the area, I spent a fair bit of time in Ballarat at Uni/Working so know the area) talking about a missing women on an anonymous football forum seems a step up in journalism for the DM to be honest.

Might take a bit to get the info from Apple?
Yeah I think so. If you know the fascinating search for Theo Hayez I think it took weeks/months (I believe that was from Google though).”

Yeah I live about 30mins away but work and drive in the Mt Helen area daily, plus know Canadian, Buninyong and the wider area to YFR quite well.

Of course, could be anyone. A boyfriend a jealous ex an obsessed stalker.

But there’s homicide detectives and also a previous statement from police that locals don’t need to be concerned about their safety, which implies to me if she was murdered it wasn’t some random nut job but someone known to her.

I’m really hoping she’s alive and well and there’s some logical explanation for her absence, I really feel for her loved ones. Unfortunately it’s not looking good.

Homicide have been called in because they have not found her injured or dead from an accident.

I get really uncomfortable making assumptions over people close to the situation based on how they act or their body language. People have very different personalities and responses to traumatic situations. I've always joked that if I was put in front of a camera or on the witness stand that I'd look guilty as all sin for anything.
