Your first 4 words? She's known within her friendship group as a regular runner, there are people older than her that regularly pound the pavement/roads/tracks in the hilly Mt Helen area. Not sure media said 20km every day, but definitely that her Sunday morning run was a planned 20km one.

Agreed. Normal to do your shorter runs during the week around work/life with a longer one on the weekend if that’s your thing.

I moved from Canadian to Brown Hill last October, right near Russell Square now. I now drive down Eureka St daily takin my girls to work in Sebas.

For sure. She's older - not sure we're allowed to describe people as elderly any more! - I have no idea of her work life, kids have probably moved out, maybe she has plenty of free time, maybe most days she can do 20km. I find it hard to set aside an hour a day for exercise but I'm pretty busy.

She's 51, kids still at home, and she runs the family business with her husband, running the office of a fair-sized and busy panel repair business.

Btw 51 is middle-aged, not elderly.

As someone who works a lot at night and into the early hours you'd be surprised how many random creeps are shuffling about.

Often in places you wouldn't expect.

Creeps who want to do something and not get caught when there are a lot of people about, for instance.

A few of us who know the area quite well have pointed out that is probably the least likely scenario.

Mine shafts are not on or adjacent to major tracks, you'd need to move away from the track.

IF she's moved (or been moved) away from a track due to assault or medical episode, mine shafts MAY come into play.
