Possible reasons:
  • He genuinely does not know
  • He does not remember
  • He does know, but is confident she will not be found
  • He does know, but thinks if she is found it may make things worse for him (may reveal additional offences)
  • He does know, but has some other reason (protecting another party, under threats from another party, bad advice, misguided, ...)
He could be a complete nutjob that wants to keep the location of the body as his own twisted little secret :) But that's the least likely scenario, I guess.

Another failed search. Obviously they have been using digital footprints and data to ascertain search areas. They don't need the body to get a conviction. Sad for the family. It's going to be a while before we hear what the evidence is they have against him.

Fact they said difficult and dangerous terrain indicates to.me they've gone back to the mineshaft theory.
I'd need to.look at a map.but if the search so far has been around a 10km radius of where sm went missing its possible she has been moved a lot further afield. Also fact only a phone has been located and no.other possessions. I mean like an hour or 2 away similar to the campers rh and CC. Be interested if police have tracked vehicles around SMs route and who.made a long journey on the day.

Is this suggestive that he may have driven around to a lot of different places that afternoon to muddy the waters incase he did eventually get questioned/arrested? The searches seem so disjointed.

Criminal psychologist Tim Watson-Munro believes police are remaining overly tight-lipped for one reason – they think someone else is involved.

If someone else is involved, who? how?

So, what if POS got himself into debt to a "criminal gang"? He can't pay and is being menaced. The gang proposes to him that he "do a job" for them and his debt will be wiped. They do not ask him to rewire the clubhouse, but instead want someone eliminated. After the job is done, the "criminal gang" takes over and tidies up. POS does not know when the body is.

Tim Watson Munroe was born to be a big footy poster.
Tim Watson Munro has a conviction for cocaine possession and was struck off for 2 years and suffered the indignity if being supervised in practice for 2 years afterwards

Don't know if he has a private practice over the intervening 20 years

He seems to be the go to person to go to for a professional psych opinion for Courts appearances and he can always be relied upon to give a one line quote to a reporter seeking one.

He comes out with opinions without interviewing the alleged which are not tested in Court. Puts a different slant on it if his opinions were tested under cross examination

But he keeps his profile high

Ok but why would this criminal gang want Samantha eliminated?
Edit, I hope this isn’t the case because POS is potentially wasting part of his life. Could have got a bank loan.

He received a non-conviction good behaviour bond. He went through some bad times, including his first wife terminally ill. But is doing very well now.

Brave for responding to that interesting post, it makes no sense and you rightfully asked the question.

There was a rumour reported in the HS yesterday and quickly edited to remove it that SM allegedly had an AVO on an extended family member.

But even HS reported it as rumour.

But made me wonder if that’s what Bezzina was referring to.

I think the police did mention a targeted attack on SM. There would be a motive, could it be related to business, Money affairs that would affect maybe people or owing or did SM see or know something? That would be enough, which could upset possibly a third party, as it seems, to go to this much trouble. If this is true

It seems unlikely, unless it was widely known that she religiously went on that run, the same route, the same time, on the same day, every week. Who spreads that kind of information?

Only her family, or a couple of close friends might have known but really, it's not that interesting to be talking about, is it? But if it was a random outing it's hard to imagine people lying in wait on the off-chance.

Maybe SM saw something.
I’m not sure about owing money, they will still owe the money if it’s related to the business.

Not if she wanted to sell or get out, or something she didn't realise was happening or some dispute etc ? If there is a third party, normally It's something fairly big doing, that will have a significant impact on actions of others. In cases If this is true, normally it comes back to money, somewhere along the dotted line in a third party scenario, otherwise they can't be bothered because of the risks, witnesses etc, and to want to murder just a mother going out for a run, who seems to be a pinnacle in her community. What interests me, whoever put her phone in that particular dam did a sloppy job, (possibly under pressure/stress). But has made it difficult to find Samantha's body. Just my opinion, looks like two different people involved or others, possibly working in different roles, which could make this premeditated

Yeah agree if there’s a third party it’s sloppy. Why didn’t they destroy the phone and then put it in water? Did they want police to find it?
