He is the leading champion data ranked ruck (and second player overall behind Scott Pendlebury).

In comparison to other ruckman he is 1st for disposals, effective disposals, kicks, kicks to advantage, marks and contested marks.

2nd in rebound 50's, hitouts to advantage and contested possessions.

3rd in clearances, effective clearances, effective hitouts, inside 50's and scoring assists.

Statistically he is definitely the dominant ruckman in terms of getting the ball and using it effectively. Cox is also statistically one of the top tap ruckman in the league.

He is in the top couple in terms of contested work, despite that being the forte of ruckman such as Sandilands and Brogan.

Cox is also statistically one the most effective ruckman forward of centre, despite competing against players who are predominantly forwards that pinch hit in the ruck.

I am yet to see someone mount a solid case as to how he only gets cheap stats in the backline.
