So in a group chat with some friends last night i suggested Jana was probably pulled for her own safety and that there would have been no way she completed the last challenge (the hang). A few of the women in the group suggested i was being sexist cause if Mark could do it then Jana could as well.

Is it sexist or offensive to suggest that generally speaking (and absolutely in Janas case) women have less upper body muscle and grip strength than the remaining boys and also that she was pretty obviously the most exhausted of the 4 remaining at that point.
No. Not at all.
Your comments are perfectly reasonable.
But, I couldn't help feeling very disappointed for Jana.

What would be everyone's strengths v weaknesses in a show like this??

I reckon mine would be:
Strengths:
- attention to detail/recall/finding things
- swimming
- stuff to do with heights (would be nervous af but could do it)
- am not a total nuff nuff, so intelligence I'd hope

Weaknesses:
- endurance/running for sure
- strength stuff
- could freak out in enclosed spaces
- the awful food and getting up super early **** that

Strengths:
- Endurance and physical strength
- Fine with heights and water
- Teamwork and leadership
- Organisation and planning

Weaknesses:
- Attention to detail isnt great
- Food and sleep deprivation would kill me
- Similar with enclosed spaces (watching sam in that tunnel made me nervous)

Ah leadership forgot that- that would def go into weaknesses, im a bit more of a follower.

Oh yeah and organisation. Huge strength. I ****ing love making lists, and being on time and shit like that.

When they were told distances and times i was shocked none of them did rough breakdowns on how far they needed to go.

2 hours for 10kms.

Right, can average about 8-10 mins per KM carrying stuff if were quick. so we need at least 100 mins travel time, we have 20 minutes to sort this, then need to haul ass for the first 2 kms etc etc.

Re enclosed spaces i remember doing an abseil. I legit freaked out on the bushwalk getting there cause there was this small tunnel i had to get thru between the rock face and this massive boulder leaning up against it. Almost was in tears.

Abseil im like yep fine cool whatevs

It wasn't a safety issue, as they were all rigged with safety harnesses, and all had to drop after their 90 seconds were done.

I think she probably could have done it if she was fresh, at the start of the course. She is a very strong woman. Whether she could have done it in the fatigued state she was in at the end of the course is another matter entirely. We'll never know.

Shed fainted the day before and need fluids and was pretty well cooked that day.

Im not citing safety cause she would have dropped im citing safety cause at that level of exhaustion might have done the same thing. Blood pressure and shit becomes an issue.

She was on the ragged edge, having given literally everything she had to give. However, she was really only 90 seconds away from finishing the course. Did she have 90 seconds left in her? Maybe, maybe not.

Great show, Sam clear BOG

Are we watching tonight’s show?

I’ll tune into HELL week as well, that looks good
Not sure, I’ll probably give it a go while giving my son a bottle and tune out a bit if it gets long and dull.

Honestly wish I knew how to apply gor hell week, would love to give it a go

Hopefully they'll put the non-celebrities through their normal program - the stuff shown on SAS Who Dares Wins in the UK. For example, there's no way they were putting the precious celebrities through the final interrogation phase, complete with pressure positions and psychological torture (loud music etc.).

Reading a little bit about SAS Hell Week here: https://tvtonight.com.au/2021/10/airdate-sas-australia-hell-week.html

It sounds very much like the UK SAS Who Dares Wins, non-celebrity version. The normal UK course only goes for 1 week, the Australian celebrity version goes for 2 weeks - this version is a 1 week course. Hopefully we'll see the full-on challenges shown in the UK version, as distinct from the namby pamby challenges in the Aus Celeb versions.

I think she could have done it too, I know she was struggling towards the end but she has a lot of strength for a woman and a lot of determination.

I thought she at least deserved to have a crack at finishing the course but maybe she was in worse shape than it appeared on tv.
