Whoever on here called Poo a loveable doofus was bang on with that description. Seems a genuine guy but felt like he almost Bradbury'd his way into the final three. Really can't picture him as a playboy type.

Jana deserved a crack at the hang. Understandable if the final task was a 2 hour mission or something but reckon she could have summoned a final 90 seconds of strength.

If I were John I'd be pretty dirty. Did pretty much everything asked of him to a high level.

I didn't mind what Dan did in the interrogation. It comes across as really dumb, unless you've watched previous series of the show - which they should have done, as part of their own preparation. The capture exercise is frequently followed by the interrogation exercise, where recruits are supposed to avoid giving any real clues about their identity of reasons for being where they were captured. Dan thought it was that kind of interrogation, not an exercise testing his powers of observation. I can definitely understand how/why he made that mistake.

Having said that, Dan is a complete and utter bellend, and I was more than happy to see him punted.

It was sad to see Jana go, but she really had reached the end physically. She passed out at the end of the obstacle course, and couldn't keep up with Philipoussis in the final mission. In reality, they probably didn't make the cutoff time, because she had simply run out of juice. I will still think of her as Super Jana from now on, even if she didn't make it all the way through to the end.

Sam was never going to fail selection, and Mark was never going to make the grade. That left Jon, who never showed the consistency that they were looking for. He was the grey man, and I suspect they spent a while deciding whether or not to cut him. I can't disagree with their final decision.

Not surprised Sam made selection, he was the clear standout both physically and mentally, thought Jana would've made it too before tiring towards the end, still an impressive effort for a female and changed my opinion of her.

Also not surprised Dan was the first one cut from the final 5, he was lucky to make it that far and was never a realistic chance of being selected.

Both Mark and John did well to finish the course, maybe a bit unlucky to not be selected but they were a rung below Sam so probably a fair enough call.

What surprised me was that they didn't show Sam choking out the driver, during the capture challenge, given that it was widely reported in the media. I can only assume that they didn't have camera crew in the vehicle at the time?

Probably a bit embarrassing for the instructors too if he choked one of them out and it might be another reason he was the only one selected.

They were too scared to tell him he wasn't selected.

It wasn't the DS who got choked out. The captors were a group of extras they refer to as "Hunter Force", and it was one of these who was choked out.

It was widely reported in the media, and confirmed by the DS at the time of filming, so they really had no reason not to show the footage - if any such footage existed.

Good call on Dan's approach to the interrogation. (the way he went about it tho, was just so ****ing hilarious)

And good call on Dan as a bellend. :tearsofjoy:

Yeh i can see what Dan was thinking, if i remember correctly the last time they had to withhold info under interrogation they were briefed accordingly beforehand. In the end it was pretty funny and probably the best acting of Dans career.\

He is absolutely a knob but he was the MVP of entertainment on this season, you absolutely need him on a show like this.

So in a group chat with some friends last night i suggested Jana was probably pulled for her own safety and that there would have been no way she completed the last challenge (the hang). A few of the women in the group suggested i was being sexist cause if Mark could do it then Jana could as well.

Is it sexist or offensive to suggest that generally speaking (and absolutely in Janas case) women have less upper body muscle and grip strength than the remaining boys and also that she was pretty obviously the most exhausted of the 4 remaining at that point.
