A dozen cameras watching their every move, and they didn't show us what happened.

Which means either there's a legal concern, or it means that it was made for tv drama to explain an injury.

That's real shitty reality tv if you aren't going to show us the reality.

But there really should be more of an update re. her injury and what actually happened. Surely she's posted something on the socials about it?
I was so confused by this bit. It showed nothing of what happened, explained nothing. Truly odd. Surely she didn't fall onto concrete, must have landed awkwardly on the bag in the water? Then footage only showed from the ledge again but why not explain it

But if it was only that, they wouldn't have called the whole thing off so has to be some kind of safety/legal concern rather than an accident

But if it's that, they do way more outrageous stuff than jump off a ledge into water...

She was completely dry. Unless there was major editing going on, she fell on the concrete.

You look at the ladder they were climbing up. Now going up it in a normal situation, not rushing etc, would be perfectly safe imo.

Rushing and being under pressure like that, like they were- I reckon that was extremely unsafe you could easily slip and take a tumble. Maybe they should have been clipped into a harness doing that ladder climb, idk.

Is going up a ladder really the worst thing they've been doing though?! Wouldn't rank top 10 for safety concerns would it?

She also made it onto the platform didn't she?

I'm not talking about the worst thing, im just talking about rushing and the potential danger of slipping down that ladder.

I just mean for the secrecy around it all. If they're worried about safety concerns that's small fries on that show

and specific to her falling, she was already finished with the ladder. She had to have fallen off the platform so nothing to do with the ladder?

I'd love to know why no one else could go as it looked pretty innocuous to me. Panic from producers I guess

No im not on twitter but id offer the following (which is not inside info or anything just my observations)

  • They clearly had safety gear for the ladder climb, you could see in one of the wide shots there was a harness and operators
  • I dont think speculation on how her injuries werent that bad given the height she fell from are relevant. Ive heard of people falling from 10+m and being fine and others who fell a metre and broke everything. Maybe she got lucky, maybe her bad broke her fall, maybe she caught something on the way down. Who knows.
  • What it seems to me happened (from piecing together what they showed and how it was edited. Ant explaining what she had to do from the ledge, with the bag and into the water (which they didnt show for Craig) implied she wasnt sure or wasnt comfortable how to do the water jump. The bag was ****ing enormous relative to her. I suspect she was confused, exhausted and abit disoriented. Took the bag off to throw it in the water when she jumped (as instructed and to avoid landing on it) over balanced and fell from the ledge, before the water.

Now in that she might have managed to grab onto the ledge, or a railing on the way down and then landed on her bag so the fall wasnt as bad but well probably never know. Ill check her insta at some point and report back if theres anything in there

Given that she is dry when the cameras show her means she didn't go into the water, and where they show her lying is just about at the bottom of the ladder so guessing she pulled out of jumping off the platform into the water, so gave up on the challenge and climbed back down the ladder from the platform and missed a step on the way down and hit the ground. Given its only a broken wrist she could've fallen from a few feet off the bottom of the ladder.

It would have been nice to get some more detail about what actually happened with that accident with Zima.

Ch7 promoted the hell out of it to get people tuning in but we didn't really get any more detail about it than what they showed on the promos.

One minute she was getting ready to jump in the water and then the next minute she was on the ground with the staff and medic with her.

I can't imagine she fell all the way from that height on to the ground and only got minor injuries so something else must have happened.

Respect to her though, I didn't think she would last long but she was tough for her size and at least she left with a MW and not a VW like Aker or Mundine.

Some of the women on this show are showing up some of the blokes for toughness like Jana Pittman did last year, Abbey Holmes and the rugby league chick have been impressive in this series too, Stephanie Rice was too before she had to leave with a MW,
