I don't give a crap if we give out 10 thousand tickets every week, as long as the stadium is full, then i'm happy

the carlton and essendon game were really good, had we been around the 8-12th mark, we may have been pushing towards 30k. really impressed with the turnout considering how bad our season has been.Bump. More saturday twilight home games next year please.
We seem to play better in that timeslot as well as get better crowds in that slot.

In conclusion: More Saturday twilight and no more Saturday 7.40pm games please (unless if we get on FTA in Melbourne).
Definitely my favourite time slot now. Late enough in the day to get other things done, early enough to take the boy, and early enough to get home and unwind...
Tears last night when there was no kick on the ground though.
I'm a fan, the only hassle is that it rules out your local footballers, who generally get into the sheds at 4.30 around SE QLD. Not a major worry to the club, or any of those who don't get into the local scene. But I've missed the last two 4.40pm games... May need to twinge a hammy on the Thursday night before the next one!
I've heard people who work Saturdays also talk about how the twilight timeslot doesn't suit them. Fair enough.
I guess the point to be made in response is that there probably isn't a timeslot to suit everyone. Night games are hard for very young families. 1pm or 2pm starts on a Saturday don't help those working or playing sport (and, indeed, probably rules out a lot of junior sports participants too). Sunday day games don't draw crowds, for whatever reason. And Sunday twilight games starts to encroach on the working week.
Agreed. But the point I was making is, of all the various 'customer' groups you could potentially inconvenience with your timeslot, why would you choose those who are most inclined to buy your product?
campaigners are probably at ****ing church, like me.. Sunday day games don't draw crowds, for whatever reason. And Sunday twilight games starts to encroach on the working week.
How many people out of 10 would be inconvenienced by the Saturday twilight games I wonder?? For myself I love the time slot. You can take your family to the game and not get home so late but you still get most of Saturday to do what you do. Obviously the time slot is inconvenient for people who work on Saturday but I would suspect they are in the minority.
