3 less memberships next year unless things change.
It's the only way I feel to get the club to listen.

One of the most disappointing aspects is that Bowers himself couldn't even say that it was an executive decision. Invoking the names of Voss and Brown to try and appease us was as transparent as it gets. The club coach and captain are hardly in a position to give their real opinion.

I am not saying that Voss and Brown are lying when they say they like the design. But it is just an insult that the club expects us to accept it without blinking.

Apparently the Club has threatened to sue Fitzroy Football Club for more than $1 million due to its threat of legal action.

Brisbane will lose. There is no mistake as to what the 'Fitzroy' Lion is.

Not sure you can sue someone merely for threatening to sue you. Must be more to it.

I don't have much but if you got a lot of people chipping in it might help.

Does anyone else think they organised a couple of 'plants' to call up SEN on the Club's behalf?

During our Gold Coast saga in 07, down here on 3AW (with Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell) they screened calls to ensure at least 50/50 for/against comments on air. I had to lie when the producer (or whoever it was) asked me my position so I could get through, and once on the air I told them what I really thought.

BTW guys there is a thread about this on our board. You guys would have a lot of support out there, I reckon.

I would wonder if there is something like "missing assets" or something the club has up its sleeve to counterclaim any argument on any grounds the FFC brings against them.

It is stupifying that the club administration sees the FFC as the enemy and not a significant part of our club.

Haha, Bowers admitted that they were crossreferencing SaveOurJumper petition signers with their email addresses, not their names.

What a sham. So unless you used the same email address on your membership application, he hasnt counted you as a member, let along family members using multiple email addresses.

His 11 percent figure is looking more and more dubious.

This is a new low. How can the merger survive such a dog act? I am speechless.

If this is true, the club is playing the role of an obnoxious bully.

How could they sue Fitzroy... all they did was say that they were willing to test the merger agreement in court if necessary.

Its not the first time Fitzroy Football Club directors have been sued by the Brisbane Lions. Last time, the Brisbane Lions lost. It probably cost the Lions a couple of thousand Victorian members.

From reading all the comments written by Bowers it seems like he is acting like an extremist. Join us and give us money or "F" YOU! Now with the whole legal issue it sounds like he has gone from trying to convert us to setting off a bomb to blow us all up and "F" up the club as we once knew it.

What annoys me is that there has been no support shown towards members and fans for their own club. We have had no say on the design of the change, never mind weather we wanted change to begin with. They have forced this horrible looking thing in our face, and its just so horrible. It looks so dicky, to say it stands for what Voss and Brown do and its fearsome is a joke, all it does is make me want an icecream. The fact that there are better logos made by fans show how out of touch the board is. Anyone with half a clue should have whipped out a 'do not want' pic the moment this design hit someones desk.

Then, to spin some bullcrap figures to try convince us that we actually support this load of rubbish is just the final straw. Im happy to do what it takes to get rid of this jumper.

Ta for the props guys, just doing my bit. One of you Royboys that's heard Atherton say that the BBFFC have threatened legal action needs to get on and put that to them. It's incredibly important, would change the context the club is being seen in today, and shows just the mentality behind this.

I love you roys guys and I don't want ye's going anywhere. Fight these pieces of shit & your brothers north of the border will be right beside you. The club hasn't abandoned you, just a bunch of corporate swine. This club is OURS and we will take it back.

I would stress again to Brissy people, buy a Fitzroy membership. $30 and it will help the club deal with this pathetic bullying from an out of touch administration. FFC Membership forms here. Just scrub the $25 & up it to $30 as the form hasn't been adjusted for 2010. You can also pay by money order if you don't want to use the options listed.
