Scott: "I was happy with the players effort"

Really Scott, are you that clueless? He said this in his presser and I nearly choked with laughter.

Thankfully Nathan Brown put the topic back on course when he said that he disagreed with Scott and that the bulldogs "out efforted" the Roos.

He is delusional and incapable of making hard decisions if he thinks that effort was acceptable.

Please can we get a coach that isn't happy with mediocrity? Am I asking too much that this spud of a coach is relieved of his duties immediately?

I don't particularly blame the players either.

They look as frustrated as I am.

He would have gone mental behind closed doors. At no point did we even look like matching their intensity.

This one goes on both playing group and coach. Completely excusing numerous weak efforts from the players cannot be excused by "oh but the game plan is crap". How many times did we let them get out of jail with a contested mark? How many times did we not make the same effort to have numbers at ground level? How many times did we all stand around while they took a mark inside 50? How many times did we kick it to Lake's advantage?

From a coaching point of view, it was evident ten minutes in that we needed to go man on man, even just for a quarter. They ripped us to shreds.

is Scott trolling? That or he is a dead set idiot that doesn't understand how footy works let alone what "effort" is..

if he is happy with that then get ready for 100 point thrashings and a bottom 4 finish..

Wallis was interviewed after the game and stated the bulldogs played one on one against us bc they studied the tapes during the week and saw it as a weakness on our part. Spot on they were. To many players want to play easy and think things will happen without effort

If that is what came out of his mouth, he may as well clear out his drawer now.

Today was nothing short of putrid effort and skill wise.

Same old shit year in year out. We come out and play out of our skins for one game a year and then go back to this skilless crap for the next 21.

Handball happy is handball crappy!

Is that quote straight from the horse's mouth?

They executed the game plan Scott and his little helper's have devised but you can't say that after a loss like this. Ballarat footy league teams would have better skills and probably have a Plan B after it was revealed in the first quarter that the Dogs were going man on man and not pressing up and running like mad.

The NMFC has now been widely declared as a soft.

I'll wager this has never happened before in the entire 140 year history of the club. I have certainly never witnessed it.

This is a cultural embarrassment.

Wally Carter would be rolling in his grave. It's TOTALLY unacceptable.

Nah wouldn't have been our game plan.. he's just pulling our leg..

See this ****ed up!! He goes saying this is a good effort etc etc.. So the players have it in their minds that what happened today was totaly acceptable.

Na sorry mate, bring back the junkyard dog or Crocks! :thumbsu:

Any context for that quote? cause he also said

Brad Scott: "That was the poorest we've been in the contest in a long time"

By no less than the most notorious downhill skiers in modern football.

This lies directly at Scott's feet who insists we play this soft unaccountable football. If I ever see him looking dismayed again in the coaches box I will throw up. Seems to me that Scott is only trying to save face by reacting like he does. I don't know who is softer, Scott or the game plan.
