Nobody is ever 100% but it means if you put yourself out there you are right to go. No excuses.
About 4 years ago, I remember thinking that Hodge had degenerated into a middle of the road workhorse. Turns out he was playing injured that year.

You might actually be onto something, been thinking for awhile he hasn't been at his elusive and sublime best since bulking up 2/3 years ago when big bodied mids became all the rage.

And I'm kind of sick of reading this he's carrying an injury excuse bullshit.
He wasn't 100% for round 2 game but has been fine ever since, this is straight from our rookie listed player's mouth.

Steve Grace begs to differ. Admitted on ABC pre-game that Pendles has had issues this season and the club is trying to manage him hence he missed the group training session.

Fair enough, only going by what I've been told few weeks ago.

Begs the question why did we play him in a game we were always going to get smashed in???

I guess because he's the captain and feels the responsibility, especially with Adams missing.

His second quarter was something else. Without him getting us back into it it may have been a 15 goal humiliation.

He's the captain of the club and we'd lost Adams and Varcoe to injury before the game. He played well, was in our best 5 players for sure. It's a no brainer.

Team had already lost Adams and Varcoe. I guess losing Pendles skewed the profile too far. Even with him in the side we were on average over 2 years younger and 50 games less experienced than the WCEs team. Pendles at 80-90% still offers more to that team than another rookie.

Would have been that any way had the weagles kicked straight.

Means it's also a no brainer his injury wasn't all that significant doesn't it?

Gave him most votes so you don't need to tell me how well he played by the way.
And it might come as surprise to you but I'm well aware of who we lose before the game and who is our Captain.

The point I've been trying to make he hasn't been at his best close to season and a half now and surely this isn't due to injury..

Similar with Judd when he was battling OP. There are certain players that are better playing on one leg than the reserves replacement who is 100%. Pendles showed that he is that kind of player against GC last year when he clearly had a busted leg yet still kicked 3 goals.

Over a decade ago? Mitchell has better lateral movement. And gets rid of it a lot quicker.

Yeah..... Nah! Even allowing for Mitchell's midfield support doubt there's much in it.

Lol Mitchell has the best vision since Diesel Williams. Anybody else I would agree.
also Mitchell plays to a seasoned team structure and often handballs to position rather then player. whereas pendles has to search a bit more for his team-mates. given our with and lack of team chemistry at the moment. where'as when we had beams and swan playing pendles knew exactly where to release it.

Because Buckley is fighting for his coaching survival and he can't afford not to play his best player.
